The rains have started, and how! Roads blocked, trains slow, and everyone's preparing for the worst. Between all of this, we have our Mumbaikers, driving to and fro from their destination.
Since this is the first heavy rains of the year, I would like to help out fellow drivers.
I know it's difficult to drive, and we all want to reach home soon, but we must be careful. It takes just one split second for tragedy to strike. Reach home safe to your loved ones. Simply follow these unwritten rules for better driving and navigation -
Drive slow. The roads are slippery, and it will take time for your brakes to respond.
Match the temperature of inside the car to the outside so as to avoid fogging of the windows.
Switch on the parking signals when it rains heavily so others are aware of you, and you are aware of them.
Always make sure you have your seat belt fastened, and for bikers, helmets are a must!
Slow down near potholes and speed breakers. Do not splash dirty water on others.
Respect the people on 2 wheelers. It's difficult driving in the rains, and they have 2 wheels less.
Follow all traffic rules strictly.
This year, don't be stupid, don't be cool. Reach home safe. And take care. Happy Rains to all!
