It was my first visit to the Paharganj area in New Delhi and I couldn’t resist getting lost in the rather stereotypical images that were brimming in my forever-active imagination. At 8:15 am, the city was just waking up. In spite of that the street was busy with folks elbowing each other to get on their way. Not to mention the lines of loud, slightly dusty neon hotel banners shouting to get your attention. So, spotting a pristine white building complete with charming black lamps reminiscent of the Victorian era was like a breath of fresh air. Obviously my curiosity was piqued, to which my companion gently told me, “That’s Hotel Ajanta Delhi for you!”
