Hang Him! Kasab- What the Pakis fight against
I am all for India hanging Kasab, but in the wake of the attacks, the terrorists exposed huge loopholes in the security and especially police force of the city of Bombay. There are many people in Bombay, so steeped in crime and corruption that someone has to literally cause a flutter to be able to get at them! The terrorists stirred a hornet’s nest and someone in Pakistan knew about what goes on in India in the name of business, politics and moviedom. So, although the blow came late and disguised, from some unknown quarters, the perpetrators did expose a corrupt police force, some idiotic ministers, gullible and dumb members of the public and a host of other problems.
Pakistan would probably need a better fight against us Indians, who claim to be forward, but are trapped in age old malaises. Nothing in this country or city seems to be working. Just the other day, there was a strike paralyzing the railways in Mumbai, exposing the disgruntled and frustrated workers. And there are millions who feel this way, from the workers in companies, to labourers, to workmen, artisans, no one is thriving as they should be and only the rich seem to be getting richer. The system is just making a joke of employees, students commit suicides every now and then and no woman is spared the public eye when she’s in her prime.
The infrastructure in the city is a mess. I don’t know what is going to happen in the monsoons, with so many roads dug up. So, although I do feel that what Kasab did was terribly wrong, the people he got at were not right either. People in Bombay have dreams of reaching sky high, but nothing in their behaviour or attitude shows that they are ready for success. In that sense, they should be exposed and brought to book, since there’s no one to address this within the country, let it be outsiders! Amen!
