H1B restrictions - want to hear your side

US government has brought in restrictions for H1B visas by preventing stimulus money from reaching companies that hire h1b visa holders... US is a country where in a decent college only 15% of them are Americans, rest are Asians and Middle eastern country people... when there is no talent in the country what use restricting the visas? I want to hear your side of arguments in this scenario...

after so many lay-offs they are forced to see that not many jobs are offered to foreign nationals than the citizens!
And i totally disagree on the no-talent argument!
There are talented guys, only thing is why employ citizens when we asians are available for cheaper labour! Still, i dont think restricting Visas are a viable solution!

for the size of operations done by these MNC's there is not enough mathematically knowledgeable people in US, algebra is started in 8th grade, and engineering courses are not even as much as present in a state of india - tamil nadu.... of these courses all masters have more than 80% filled by foreigners... I dont say there is no talent... but the % of people taking up these kind of subjects for their studies are lesser than compared to india or other asian countries... and i totally agree on the cheap labour part too......Read More

Half of the Software and other firms are getting here for marketing u see those newer foreign banks putting up atms here.. RBS and wat not..
Talking of percentages, Assuming, this is the rate of globalization, 90% of world finances would end up in Middle-east and asia till 2020 :)
Well, i really dont have much idea about the US literacy and schooling/college practices so probably ur right..
As Jams bhai said, may be its good more employment in india, less brain drain.. Better this way! :)
