What setting to keep when using ice.Does water pump need to keep on or off ?If water pump is on ice get melt in a minute.

The setting should be Cool or Cool Swing while using ice. Water Pump should be on so water will flow and melt that ice and afterwards that cool water will give you cool air.There is no issue if ice melt in minute but I highly suggest to put large cube of ice which can be gain by freezing water in big size container. Big ice will take time to get melt.
