I had purchased a 1.5 TON Split AC on 2nd January 2013 from Great Eastern Trading Company, Kolkata.
On 12th August 2018 in the afternoon when we switched on the AC, it was running but the room was not cooling at all.
Therefore we launched a complain. This is attended by Service Centre "Cool Care, 21 Jadu Mitra Lane, Kolkata 700004". The technician had reported that there is Gas leakage and the Condenser is damaged and other parts are ok. If he fills up Gas without repairing Condenser there is again a chance of Gas leakage. Therefore he suggests to change Condenser with new one and gas refilling with a cost of Rs.7500.
Once the Condenser is changed and Gas is filled up, then AC has started cooling the room. Then after 5 minutes the AC has stopped. And it had repeated for 3 times.
Next day one other technician had come. He first said it is a capacitor issue and replaced it. After that the same issue remains. Then they took the outdoor unit to service centre again and reported that Compressure is also damaged and that replacement will cost Rs.12000 more.
I have two major concerns in this regard.
a) When the AC is first checked the technician had reported the issue of Gas leakage and Condenser only. And the AC was working only it was not able to cool the room. How the compressure got damaged just after Condenser replacement? Is the service center have changed the Compressure with a defective one? Why the service centre have not intimated me about all the issues at one go? I request you to check workings of the service center "Cool Care" immediately.
b) If I assume this is just a co-incidence that compressure is damaged at the time when AC is restarted after condenser replacement, then I must say that I am totally disappointed about this product. If just after domestic use(not more than 7 hours maximum in summer time) for 5 year and 7 months, the Condenser and Compressure both are damaged at same time, then this product is far behind than all other reputed brands.
I am not at all satisfied with the service provided by the service centre and also with the product itself.
