Samsung is nowadays also exploring in the AC line too.It does not provided that much efficient products. This AC with a cooling capacity of 1.5 is good not bad. But it doesn't maintains the same after few months.


I would say go for other AC brands which have better cooling capacity n which eventually doesn't disappoint u.


Pathetic Customer Service & damage to AC

It is with great anguish, despair and disgust that I write this to highlight complete apathy on my complaint filed with Samsung Customer Care 28 days back on non-functioning of my Samsung digital inverter 1 ton Split AC.


The unit was refused to be dismantled initially by Samsung Service Centre citing "safety concerns" since I reside on the 3rd floor.! Ridiculous as it sounds, they refused to utilize safety harness to execute this and delayed for a week. Ultimately I have uninstalled this at my cost since Samsung service centre was totally non co-operative.


Now the indoor and outdoor unit was lying at  the service centre - Sai Enterprises, Goregaon West, Mumbai for 10 days with no revert or closure from them. Any amount of follow ups with Samsung Customer Care and the Service Centre yielded no positive results.


If this note is really read by Samsung, I wish to know - is there nobody in authority and responsibility who overlooks customer grievances and addresses them with due diligence?


Do you have a sincere and functioning customer redressal service policy wherein you help customers or is all this just a farce to display customer service?


Your call centre offers courteous and assuring responses but has no closure. Your Service Centre is run by a bunch of thugs who speak rudely and put forth flimsy reason for not being able to resolve issues and thereafter fleece money for parts which are under warranty!


Its 28 days since I had initiated by complaint for Reference Number 8435558624 and my AC is not yet repaired. Why does your service centre harass customers and not help them?


Why doesn't the call centre offer escalation points & coordinates when issues are not resolved?


Why does a customer have to keep pursuing for days together just to have a Samsung appliance repaired?


My appliance was damaged during repairs. The cooling coil of the indoor unit was wilfully and maliciously damaged by the service centre due to my stand off with them on differing issues.


Mails to the CEO of Samsung evicted no positive outcome as their consumer grievance redressal process is a big farce.


I demand an immediate redressal of my issue with no further delay and expect the company to have my AC repaired, installed and me reimbursed for the expense I incurred in un-installing the AC which should have been done by the Samsung Service Centre.


I expect strict action to be taking against the erring service centre people who have caused me undue agony and loss in this entire episode.


Hope Samsung and people who read this post take cognizance of this case and desist from buying Samsung henceforth.

Aluminum condenser of split AC - Fragile

I bought a split AC of Samsung three year back. The AC comes with aluminium condenser. The condenser failed in about two years.  The Aluminium condenser is non repairable and  you have to dump  it even if, there is small pinhole. Next time you buy it the warranty period is only three months. It is fragile.!


The company makes more money in selling the condenser for AC compared to AC itself .! They sell very large number of these condenser in market because it requires replacement periodically.


The cost of replacement of condenser is whopping 10 K. and remember it is a vicious cycle. Once bought you have to replace it only with Aluminum condenser, because Samsung  AC  is not compatible with other long life condenser.


Once you buy an AC of Samsung you are trapped.!  They sell AC it with Aluminium condenser.


Please take a conscious decision.!

Fraud By Samsung in name of Free Installation

I Recently purchased Samsung 1.5 split Inverter AC, was promised free Installation. Very Nice I picked it up from Croma Store in Mumbai. Was promised no other cost except if Copper pipe Exceeds what is given with AC.


Samsung Sent there Authorised Service centre personnel to fix the same. and in the end was charged whooping Rs 1900/= for Installation, Reason Rs 850 for removal of Ac And Rs 1050/= for Drainage Pipe of 2 feet and a small Wire which needs to be attached from Main Unit to outdoors. total market price of which doesnot exceed Rs 50/=


All this Inspite of Very Specific mention of free standard installation.


What a rip off Samsung, . So Shamefull.


Samsung AC and their service are the most pathetic

I bought a 1.5 Ton Samsung AC Model AS184EKE on 23 Apr 2012 from Anmol Electronics, Kolkata 700056 for Rs 34000. This particular AC has caused lots n lots of trouble since the day it was initially fitted. At the very first week the AC was not cooling as it was found out of gas by the service centre agent. They took the outdoor unit for inspection and thereafter refitted after repair. Ever since I had been using this AC very sparingly during summer months only. Then again after two years on May 2014 the AC was found not cooling properly. After lodging complaint the service engineer visited and informed that the AC requires to be refilled with gas and we were charged?1800/- or so.


Now exactly after one year the AC was found not cooling at all. This time both the indoor as well as outdoor unit was taken to the service centre and now we are told that condenser needs to be changed which would cost?9000. Each occasion when the service engineer visited we were told by them that this AC has Aluminium Condenser and they generally go bad very soon. All 4 and 5 Star rating AC according to them have Aluminium Condenser. Now the question is if by aishwaryasingh23ing more for 4-5 star rating AC we get such inferior stuff then its mere waste of hard earned money. The service representative even educated us that the lot of 2012 ACs has maximum complaints.


Along with us my uncle also bought the same model on same day from the same shop. In their case the AC went bad the very 1st year itself, but they couldn't realise it. By the time they realised it the warranty period got over. In their case they had to go for changing the condenser for?9000/- in 2nd year itself. Now after this experience I have serious doubt on the quality of AC manufactured by Samsung and the quality of service provided by their service centre. Now with all these facts in place I am planning to go to Consumer Court to appeal against Samsung or else they should repair my AC free of charge or return my entire money spend on this rubbish item.


Presently, my AC is lying in the service centre(COOL POINT, 32/1, Baguihati, Kolkata-700028) for Condenser change. My complaint number is 8443460519.

I had brought a Samsung 1.5 Ton Split AC 2 years ago. Initial days around 4 to 5 months it works too good and smoothly. But after it shows various problems like


1) The Shutter Starts Vibrating.


2)It doesn't worked regularly. And when the outside temperature increases 40degree celcius forget about cooling.


3) Services from Samsung is too bad after once the AC is delivered.


4) In order to get AC cooling as its initial days you need to service the AC in a regular interval of 3 to 4 months.


5) Outer unit which is the compressor it also needs to be repaired in regular intervals.


Lastly I will give a conclusion as a Total Waste of Money.

I bought a Samsung split Ac on 2 years back.Till 1 year it's performance was good. But later then the gas leak problem is happening. After repairing, hardly it works for 2 weeks then again same problem.it happens again and again.I am very much unhappy with this service.serviceman didn't do the job properly that's why it happens again.


The support staff don't even care what should be done in first service they will just come for time pass and will tell you some problem either is has or not.Samsung customers service is not good.


Samsung products are good but if you are unable to handle and maintain your customers then it will be a disaster. I would like to suggest all the Samsung products buyers to check the service before buying the products.

I had purchased Samsung 1.5 Ton Split ac before 5 years. Initially it was working fine. But later on trouble started one by one.


The warranty for Compressor alone is 5 years. Exactly at the end of 5 years, problems started with the compressor. Sometimes it would work and stop all on a sudden. Also gas started leaking, and I had to refill the gas. I have spent a big amount so far for repairing. I have done regular services every year. But the performance has not been satisfactory.

I have been using samsung 1.5 tons split air-conditioner for the last 4 years now, but today when I called upon the service guy for a routine check since the AC was not cooling, I was in for a very rude shock. I've been informed that there is no gas in the compressor as the condenser of my AC has developed a leak primarily because this particular brand uses aluminium instead of copper to make condensers which cannot be repaired easily and the cost to replace this with a new one is around 8K!


Service guy admits that samsung air-conditioners have major complains and that am not the only one who is suffering because of this problem . Anyway, I have nothing but to regret my decision to buy such a sub-standard product, it seems my hard earned money has made this cheap electronics company richer by few thousands!

A nice spilt of samsung . We have purchased 1.5 ton spilt previous year on 25th july 2014, worth rs-45000, and really we are happy to have it as the performance of split is awesome till now, no complaints till now and no problem till now and hoping it in future for 1, 2 year more.


Service is awesome too no any extra charges are taken by the company except fitting charges which as not as much too high but ya we are satisfied very much. its takes around 15 min to cool up our 22*12 drawing room . Easy to use easy to wash . And one more thing its just keep silent no noise .

This is the time when one actually uses their AC to kill the heat. And I have one from Samsung at my place which freezes the place in minutes, that’s what I like about this Samsung AC.


It cools faster and along with that has a turbo cooler as well, which cools even faster. first I initially felt for LG and then for O General but they were expensive as compared to Samsung and now I’m happy that I selected Samsung, 8 years and it’s still on the wall cooling the entire hall of my flat. Just keep cleaning the filters on a regular intervals and this product performs like a star.

Samsung AC blows up in 11 months - No after sales!

In less than a year of buying the Samsung 1 Ton Split AC with 5 Star Rating, the AC stopped working. The out door unit one day made a loud sound and started leaking of oil and compressor gas.


I logged a complaint on their call center on 26 April 2015 with complain reference number 8420556133 and its been 15 days with no action taken. I ask the call center guys to put me though their senior and they say there will be a call back in 15 mins, but no one calls back.


So in short, its a sad product with pathetic after sales. Its peak summer and my 11 month old AC does not work. No After Sales. Bad Buy!

The Samsung 1.5 Ton Split Air Conditioner has become an integral part of our lives, specially in this summer. As my fan in the bedroom is not working now, I use it as a pure fan also. The remote is very handy and very reliable.


The unit is looking as good as it was four years back, when it was purchased. Highly recommendable to purchase this unit with variety of functions including biosleep etc., It is working with practically no maintenance except for dust cleaning once a year.

Samsung is a big trust worthy brand, may be the biggest brand in electronic products. It has number of product in mobile, Refrigerator, LCD, LED, air conditioner etc. I have satisfied with all the other product of Samsung except Air conditioner.


We have purchased 1.5 ton AC of Samsung from Croma at thane 3 years back, because of reputation and name of the company. Earlier that I had Hitachi’s AC which was good.


Model


I purchased Samsung MAX AS182SSD 1.5 Ton Split AC. This AC has a capacity of 1.5 ton and comes equipped with a powerful compressor which offers a cooling capacity of 5050 Watt.


Body and Design


The body and design of this product is very nice. The Samsung MAX AS182SSD 1.5 ton split air conditioner is available in white body color. It has a very stylish design which makes it match perfectly well with any kind of decor in any of the rooms .


Performance


The biggest problem is the control panel. It's made out of cheap quality. Power does not get through. The other main problem was compressor which is too loud that you cannot sleep. When I complaint this to their technician they say that this much noise is normal. After making continuous complaint they changed compressor then we got some relief from the noise.


Samsung is a very brand and their products are also very nice. This product is also nice but the main problem is that their service in this category is extremely poor. If a customer has purchased Rs 28500/- of worth product then you should provide good customer service. They should try to improve their service in this category

I had done biggest mistake by buying Samsung AC. First the Installation guy had tried to ask 22500rs in the name of Installation material but finally after so much effort I have to pay 8500 rs for Installation. They had troubled us like anything by making all false complains like they had come multiple time for Installation and we are not ready to install our AC.


Samsung had the worst customer care service as they are totally into extorting business.

I had got 1, 5T Samsung split ac for my new house. One year went without issues.Then started real headache. All on a sudden water started pouring from the ac and in no time the room was full of water. I called the service person from samsung. First they said that the installation was not correct since the tilting angle was not correct.


Again they made a mess of my wall by changing its position. Within no time the problem started again. This time they told some other reason about changing a part and it was done. By then the summer was over and I did not use the ac for a few months.


Then again summer came and this time there was no cooling for the ac at all. Again the service person came and this time his finding was gas is leaking from the ac and the compressor should be changed. But he filled it with gas saying that it will last till summer is over.

Great Torture do not buy samsung AC

I purchased Split AC with 5 star, with hope that having a good quality and service.


Up to three years Ac was really good and I was very happy with SAMSUNG branded AC. In april 2013, I faced the problem of water leakage. Authorized technician had suggested me, to replace aluminum condenser. With lot of efforts, finally your company replaced the condenser and filled the gas.


In July 2014, again, I faced the problem of cooling and water leakage. Your technician has suggested that there is gas leakage. He filled the gas and I paid him Rs. 1800+450.


Again in sept 2014, water leakage started, the technician from vision services was totally confused and told me that gas leakage is there. Finally he took both units for inspection.


I feel, Samsung Company have given me defected unit. I don’t know what the life of AC machine. However, this is breach of trust with your brand loyalty and 5 star sign. This is the mental, physical and financial harassment done by Samsung company.

Poor quality,waste of money avoid Samsung AC

This is the possible worst quality electronics product I ever used. If you want to avoid harassment and monetary loss don't buy Samsung AC.


I purchased a 1.5 Ton SAMSUNG split AC(Model# AS185BGCN) from a reputed dealer of Kolkata on end Jan, 2012 spending Rs. 32, 000/- and after 1 Yr.(just end of warranty period) started various problems.


On May, 2013 first the cooling problem started. The technical guy from Samsung visited and asked for gas refill to overcome the cooling problem. I pay around Rs. 1600 for that. It went good for rest of the season.


Then again on the beginning of this summer, this year it started with another issue.  This time I saw ice getting generated in the air flow bled and the AC is generating loud unusual noise.  I reported that problem. Again the same engineer visited and asks to replace the PCB(electronic board adjacent to the temperature sensor) at the cost of Rs, 1899.


Now, after 3 months(Aug, 2014) again the cooling problem started. No/very low cooling is happening only.


I again raised a complaint with the Samsung Service Center on 14-AUG -2014(Complain# 4179459354, Ref# 8436230577). The same engineer came on 16th Aug and told me that gas pressure is very low and there may be a leakage in Condenser so they have to take the outdoor unit in their workshop and need to replace the condenser. And for this work I have to pay around Rs. 9000.


I am fed up with this. By replacing its faulty parts I already spent Rs. 4000 after the purchase and now they are asking for another Rs. 9000.


From a reputed brand name like Samsung I did not expected such a poor quality. It is really a bad experience for me.


I had a discussion with one of their senior executive and  I put the the below points before him -


Why do I need the gas refill after 1 Yr of purchase and then again in the next year.


Why the parts(PCB, Condenser) are of so poor quality that needs to be replaced after 2 Yrs of purchase?


What is the assurance that, other parts are in good condition?


But was not able to give me any satisfactory answer, his only point was - as this product is now out of warranty so I have to pay all the costs. So, effective he was trying to say, as you purchased this product so you have to spend Rs. 5000(avg) every year for repairing after 1 Yr.:)


Not sure, If there any law in India that can protect consumer's interests in such scenario, where the consumer suffers by purchasing  a poor quality product just after the end of warranty period(1 Yr.)
