Less then 3 years ago I have purchased Samsung's split air conditioner thinking that its a big brand with a good network, and after buying the AC I will not have to worry about the product quality and after sale service.
I think every body planning to buy a Samsung product will think so.
Let me help you in clarifying you will be completely wrong, as I was. Being fooled by big marketing campaigns and the "so" called "brand value".
In this very short time frame my compressor have been changed, cooling unit have been changed twice and that too just within 10 months of installing a new cooling unit and the gas have been recharged at least 5 times.
All in all the cost of repairs and servicing have surpassed the cost at which I have purchased the AC.
Are these huge fortune 500 companies so focused on spending on marketing that they are compromising on quality.
Koreans are supposed to be pioneers in technology but by the way things are going they also seem to be going the chinese way of no quality and nil service.
By the way Samsung provides after sales service it seems like they have found a new stream of income in India, just provide very poor and very incompetent service so that after purchasing the product customer have to spend again and again sometimes even 3 times in a short 4-5 months season. Obviously this goes hand in hand with the poor quality of manufactured or I must say assembled goods.
My AC does not work 1 month in a season because of it is in the process of being repaired and I am waiting for the servicing agent.
So if you are looking for peace of mind and to actually use AC in summer season do not, do not please do not buy Samsung AC(at least now you have one lesser choice to be disappointed at).
