This is Kishore from Kolkata. Friends summer has started, and hope we all are suffering from these hot days. Generally I spend my all days in the office, but this year I planned to buy a Panasonic AC 1.5 Ton for my house as my parents are now senior citizens and I wanted to make some comfort for them in these summer days. ? ? ?
I bought a Panasonic Split AC 1.5 ton Model- CU-YC18PKY-T at cost of Rs. 31300 on 9th March 2013 from a showroom of Kolkata.
First incident happened with this AC at its installation, I was not present at the time of installation, but my parents were there and the Panasonic guys installed it in my house and charged Rs 2, 500 for some parts which were required to install an AC. I checked the installation and fittings of AC when I returned home and surprised, as I found that front panel of AC is not properly fitted, and due to over tighten of screws corner of the panel has cracked. I immediately called Panasonic customer care, they send a technician after two days of complaining.
At this time I told him to replace the front panel as its cracked by their technician, but he make me convinced that front panel is nothing, this is a little cracked which can be joined by feviquick as replacement time will take a lot of time, may be many months as summer has started, I should use my AC. Ok, fine I convinced and he repaired it with feviquick and refitted the front panel but I surprised when he asked me a one Service card, I told him this was not a service its installation complaint, after throwing 2-3 sentences he agreed to leave for the day with a Xerox copy of bill…. ?
AC was working fine and properly upto 27th April 2013 night. After that day AC is running well, but unfortunately its not cooling the room at all…? I complained the Panasonic customer care on 29th April 2013, customer care guys confirmed me that within 24 hour service personal will contact you to fix the problem. That day evening a guy called me and confirmed me the time of 5p.m. of 29th i.e. same day.
I was very happy with Panasonic after sell service, but this happiness does live for long time, as no body come to repair at 5 p.m. of 29th Apr, 2013. No body called or come on 30th April also, after frustration I called again the customer care on 1st May 2013, and they give a Mobile No. of Mr. Kaushik Mazumder of Panasonic Kolkata Service Center, I called him but he is not picking up the phone, I think they all are on holyday of 1st May.
I want to ask Panasonic India, what kind of technician they have kept, who even doesn't know how to fit an AC, and what kind of AC you are selling, which started problem within two months of purchase, and what the hell kind of service you are providing to the customer.
I think Panasonic India should replace my AC immediately as it;s not piece of Rs. 3. I will never recommend anybody to buy any Panasonic product with this experience. Ok let’s see what happens. I will update this post later with my experience with Panasonic AC.
