Just got a Panasonic 1.5 Ton Inverter Split Air Conditioner from Vijay Sales, More of a necessity than a luxury for a Mumbaikar in this scorching summer heat. The delivery service I got from the company was also efficient and they got my job done without any hassle.


Performance has been quite good. It has the latest Inverter technology which helps in quick cooling and also saves on energy consumption. I'll give a thumbs up!

It's a good quality Air conditioner for my home. I have been using it for 1.5 years now. I have faced no problems regarding any issue. Purchased it for Rs.37, 000/- from Retail Brand Store. Input sockets are of good quality and the input appliances fits real tight.


You can use the AC with consistent air conditioning and it promises significant reduction in power consumption.


Enjoy using the AC continuously without worrying for huge electricity bill.


Verdict: Overall I recommend others to buy it over in comparison to onida or voltas or Samsung like brands.

Horrible Product, and horrible service!

I purchased this Panasonic AC in July 2014, less than a year ago. Since then, it has been to the service center twice and I've had to complain about water leakage an additional 4-5 times. I've been told that the service center has replaced all parts and the AC is not defective. Yet, water continues to fall from the vents as soon as the technician leaves.


To add to that, I am amazed at the technicians and the service center people. They continue to tell me that the product is not defective and they don't know what's wrong with it. Notice the double talk! A brilliant technician even told me to close my business for a couple of days till he talks to a senior and figures out whats wrong. This guy himself is apparently the Head Technician for West Bengal. What morons!


I wouldn't suggest anyone buy a Panasonic AC. Save yourself the harassment and your money. As of this moment, the AC still remains unusable.

I had purchased 3 Panasonic split AC's from Vijay Sales Pune in Feb 2013. On 02 May 2014, the AC was not cooling. Their technician told me there is leakage of gas, I will have to pay 2500/- for refilling.


I spoke to customer service regarding faulty installation and therefore, the gas leakage but no use.


Beware, Panasonic installation service is pathetic. Be ready to pay for gas leakage.

I am using this air conditioner from the last 5 years, but for 1 year its good. Every time it is giving lot of trouble like loud noise, electricity bill also getting high with low consumption. Very bad AC I ever seen. I am suggesting to all dont buy the Panasonic AC in India.


We will really lose the amount if we buy that products from Panasonic .

Complain For Panasonic for Faulty Product

Complaint regarding : air conditioning model no.cu-kc18nky-2 Sr. no.6837700527 ondt. 24.03.2013. It has been 8 days to my request but I don't think that Panasonic is interested in taking your customer complains seriously. Even after continuous reminder over email and phone, no one took step to even talk and investigate in it. Your employee name Monica, a relationship manager available through your helpline number who even hung up the phone I tried to explain her the concern and questioned about the coupon that was given to me for free installation and service, which she denied is free.


Through Mouthshut, I want to raise a voice for this International companies who come to India sell there product but has no dedication towards customer service and satisfaction.


Also I would like to say that people working with these companies are unfriendly and I wonder what makes them do that.

This is Kishore from Kolkata. Friends summer has started, and hope we all are suffering from these hot days. Generally I spend my all days in the office, but this year I planned to buy a Panasonic AC 1.5 Ton for my house as my parents are now senior citizens and I wanted to make some comfort for them in these summer days. ? ? ?


I bought a Panasonic Split AC 1.5  ton Model- CU-YC18PKY-T at cost of Rs. 31300 on 9th March 2013 from a showroom of Kolkata.


First incident happened with this AC at its installation, I was not present at the time of installation, but my parents were there and the Panasonic guys installed it in my house and charged Rs 2, 500 for some parts which were required to install an AC. I checked the installation and fittings of AC when I returned home  and surprised, as I found that front panel of AC is not properly fitted, and due to over tighten of screws corner of the panel has cracked. I immediately called Panasonic customer care, they send a technician after two days of complaining.


At this time I told him to replace the front panel as its cracked by their technician, but he make me convinced that front panel is nothing, this is a little cracked which can be joined by feviquick as replacement time will take a lot of time, may be many months as summer has started, I should use my AC. Ok, fine I convinced and he repaired it with feviquick and refitted the front panel but I surprised when he asked me a one Service card, I told him this was not a service its installation complaint, after throwing 2-3 sentences he agreed to leave for the day with a Xerox copy of bill…. ?


AC was working fine and properly upto 27th April 2013 night. After that day AC is running well, but unfortunately its not cooling the room at all…? I complained the Panasonic customer care on 29th April 2013, customer care guys confirmed me that within 24 hour service personal will contact you to fix the problem. That day evening a guy called me and confirmed me the time of 5p.m. of 29th i.e. same day.


I was very happy with Panasonic after sell service, but this happiness does live for long time, as no body come to repair at 5 p.m. of 29th Apr, 2013. No body called or come on 30th April also, after frustration I called again the customer care on 1st May 2013, and they give a Mobile No. of Mr. Kaushik Mazumder of Panasonic Kolkata Service Center, I called him but he is not picking up the phone, I think they all are on holyday of 1st May.


I want to ask Panasonic India, what kind of technician they have kept, who even doesn't know how to fit an AC, and what kind of AC you are selling, which started problem within two months of purchase, and what the hell kind of service you are providing to the customer.


I think Panasonic India should replace my AC immediately as it;s not piece of Rs. 3. I will never recommend anybody to buy any Panasonic product with this experience. Ok let’s see what happens. I will update this post later with my experience with Panasonic AC.

I bought two of these ACs about 4 weeks ago. Installation people were prompt in showing up and finishing the job.


Horrible Service Experience


After two days, outdoor unit started vibrating a lot. Panasonic Customer Care called me for feedback on the installation and I reported this to them. I was sent a complaint number over SMS on 4 April 2013 saying that someone will come and take a look within 24 hours.


Two persons did show up at about 6 30 PM and started saying that it is getting dark and that they will return the next day to finish the job, to which I agreed. Since then, there was no response from anyone.


I called Panasonic Customer Care today at the number on their website. The CSA told me that my service request had been cancelled and the reason quoted was "CUSTOMER NOT AVAILABLE / NOT ANSWERING PHONE".


The service person obviously lied about this. But even so, if the customer is not available, shouldn't Customer Service call back and check for rescheduling? Instead the request has conveniently been closed as reported by the CSA that I spoke with. I opted for Panasonic as recommended to me by a friend, but I am thoroughly disappointed by this experience. I now have been given a new service request number and been assured that someone will call back within 24 hours to fix a time.


I hope they get it right this time.
