I purchased ONIDA 1.5 Ton Inverter AC in Sept. 2015 through Sales India, Ahmedabad. In the beginning it worked well. Due to winter, we did not use it till March 2016. Once we started using it after service, it started smell like dirt/dust.
About 6 of their service engineers(3rd party) came and inspected, but could not resolve the problem. Finally, an engineer, claimed to be from ONIDA itself, came and told us that the reason is due to the faulty coil of interior unit.
The branch manager, Mr. Manoj Verma told us that they can change the coil, which I did not agree with. Since coil being the major part of the interior unit, I persisted on changing the interior unit itself. But he started playing his cards, saying that he is sending his person today, tomorrow, day-after-tomorrow etc. etc. which brought me to this sight to write and inform the public about my plight. What I perceived from the experience till date that ONIDA has no sales service dept. They are not bothered about the feeling of their clients.
Since the product is under warranty period and the machine has manufacturing defect, I have decided to approach Consumer Forum to get justice for my plight in the simmering heat of Ahmedabad and to teach a lesson to ONIDA people. And finally I would put their slogan as'its your pride and customers plight'
I call upon the readers and prospective buyers not to buy ONIDA products any more .
