Awful experience after buying LG AC

I am using LG ac since 2020. I have used ac if other brands before and after. I must say it is the WORST air condition i ever used. It stops working very frequently from the time i bought it. As i bought during peak corona era almost no service was available. After things turned little normal got service from LG which was not up to the mark. From 2nd year only the parts started malfunctioning and it hs turned to an increasing recurring cost to me. ALSO MIST SAY THE SERVICE ENGINEERS ARE AWFUL. this year again the ac runs but does not cool down. Service engineer came and ruined even the display and stated that the displayvos gone which was actualluly working even a few secs ago. He could not answer whatvhas gone wrong and left the premises. Called multiple times to call centre. Ms Dhar answered the call and could not track the ticket too. She said call was made last year only. She could not say any SlA for engineer visit . Kept saying engineer will come soon. I MUST SAY LG Brand, service, call centre and support team all are just TOO BAD. DONT RECOMMEND THIS BRAND AT ALL.

Technicians of LG company lure the customers and take them away with their pockets and their customer care staff and their executives are so rubbish. They do not help the customers at all.

Worst Service, My complaints was taken care after 15days with lots of followup post that my complaint was solved although post I asked urban clap for permanently solve this lg ac colling issue


I have 4 AC at my home and all are different brands media sumsaung dekin but not a single issue


Very soon will dump this LG ac

Recently i am searching a perfect AC for me .I am living in chandrapur where summer means deadly hot temperature, TO overcome this problem i found my perfect AC THAT IS LG DUAL INVERTER AC .Cooling capacity & performance is quiet impressive.I would like to prefer you all to buy this product.This AC is also coming with great features like HC, Energy saving mode.


Product is nice. Working efficiency superb. However, price is on higher side. Installation not free - another dampener. So one point less in Value for Money.

New ac LG 1.5 ton 5 star installed on April 2023, with in 6 month cooling issue rectified "Error code CH 38", Tech visited and he said evaporator cooling unit need to be replaced , after two days technician replaced the part, then also problem not solved. Now they are telling it may be the compressor problem and i am waiting for last two days.Complaint open since last week and waiting for the next course of action from service center.So many days after waiting they are not sure about the part availability. LG has to improve their Service and customer satisfaction.I am so worried about this, with in few months problem started...I will update further details after this.

Bad AC & Materials, Bad support, high cost repair

LG technician replaced complete inner coil unit of dual inverter split AC in just 1 year and 3 months of purchase. LG claims it has Black Ocean Protection which makes coils life longer but it doesn't work. Spent Rs 40, 000 on the ac and Rs 10, 000 on its repair just in little more than a year. LG technician come to your house to make their money. When I got the AC installed they literally denied to use my old split AC outer unit stand which was in good condition and the LG technician had to call his boss to take permission to install with old stand. Similar experience I had when they came to look into loss of cooling and denied to repair the inner coil but only interested in replace it. Moreover, their representative on Facebook 'LG Global', is even more pathetic, without even calling you and talking to you they will tell you you never got the AC repaired from them, which shows how this company is operating internally and their social media response to your posts is just a gimmick. Regret buying LG AC and not doing enough research and trusting them on the technology they say works, but it doesn't work.

It’s exactly 2 yrs since I have purchased this Product, initially the problem started with the cooling not beingeffective, later had to go through all the services then and there with other service providers and spending so much of money. Recently I have approached LG staffs to have the issue sorted, 2 members visited my premises and told like they need to take the unit and wash the gel that has formed, later other 2 staffs visited and mentioned to have it washed without taking the unit. It’s very disappointing that the issue is still not sorted and it’s been more than a week, LG staffs are really not worth as they don’t keep their words to visit and finish off the work. They just attend the call and mention we will come, but no action yet.


Added on 31th July 2023: The Staff from LG visited my premises today and stated it will cost 8-9k and more than that for fixing the issue. While checking to let us know what is the exact issue, he said he don’t know that needs to be checked after they take the product to the workshop. What a pathetic experience, the LG customer care does not even care about the resolution and the allotted so called engineers did not mention the issue and wants us to spend hefty amount. Would anyone spend 8-9k on an ac purchased just for 2yrs, how bad is this service.

We know that in Market there are lot of models LG Air conditioner available. This Ac is look wise good but one of major issue is cooling . You know another airconditioners are spreading good cooling.but this is not covering all space.so overall it can be seen that if you have low budget you can buy it but if you have High budget you can purchase Mitsubishi AC and another best brand.

Maine itna kharab service kisi ki nhi dekhi abhi tak one of the worst item aur service agent bhi kuch thik nhi krte application ke through bolte hai error nhi dikha rha jabki cooling nhi ho rhi , outer device fan nhi chal Raha hai samne dikh rha hai uske baad bhi yhi reply customer care ko call kro to engineer bhejte hai call krega koi call nhi aata ek dum kharab

I bought the LG 1.5 TON Dual Invertor AC 3 months back after paying Rs. 45k. After installation, the AC started showing CH38. This incident has happened for 20-30 times in this period. Everyday I switch it on and within 2-3 hours it starts showing CH38 and it becomes defunct for the time being. After calling the customer care, the service guy is saying that he has to charge gas and the same shall cost approx 5k! Such a waste of money.


Please buy something else. I am having 2 other ACs (i.e. carrier and hitachi) and both are running good.

Horrible after sales. Their 3 Rd party doesn't know the product. At my place they installed it on panel and when it started leaking they say that the panel should be folding. Never attend to messages and phone calls. have standard answers. But very clear about charges...that's all what they talk about.


My reco: never ever look at LG products due to service. The company lost its sheen. For last 20 years i was using LG. but now ... ENOUGH!

Pros- cooling is good, built quality is excellent, design of indoor unit is best compared to other major brands like daikin Samsung Panasonic voltas general etc


Cons- no light on remote, outdoor unit is little bit small as compared to Daikin Samsung Panasonic.
