I find  best ac from this Hitachi company and it's result is very best.  I daily turn on the AC and this actually fresh air and the other side is purification system out of the backside of the AC .


Power consumption is slightly high. I bought from the ac flipkart in online payment very less amount of maintenance. This ace I using for a month and I no problem with this Ac including to air related and the cooling the room from this Ac I would to recommend  this Hitachi AC who's only for cooling .

Very Defective and deficient service of Hitachi

The remote control of my window air conditioner, which I bought two years back, stopped functioning on 13th August 2015. A complaint was lodged. A remote was supplied by their service center. This too did not work. The service center(on his own) registered another complaint. This went to an altogether different center. They came and said it was a defective and damaged control that had been supplied. I said it is your company's center which provided this. They said to log in another complaint. Which I did and they collected the defective remote on 21st August. Since then they have been promising to replace the control, despite more than a week has passed.


I even logged in complaints to their management, but to no avail. Rather they did not even bother to call up and express regrets.


Last year I purchased the far cheaper Lloyds which their service center gave excellent service.


In the case of Hitachi - buying expensive results in more headaches and tears. Buying cheap gives you satisfaction.


I am still waiting for them to respond. I wish no one else gets cheated.

I ordered Hitachi 1 ton split AC from flipkart. Flipkart was giving a good discount on Hitachi AC ordered with Citibank debit/credit card. The AC which cost Rs 31000 was offered to me at Rs 25500 by flipkart. It was a great offer.


My AC arrived in 2 days. The Hitachi service men arrived the same day AC arrived.  They installed the split AC in a very smooth manner.  They were very polite and cordial. They did not fuss about anything. Normally AC installation takes 1500rs INR but hitachi provided some discount and I had to pay 450rs INR for the installation.


The AC is white in colour and looks very classy. The entire room gets cooled within 10mins of starting the AC. The compressor outside does not produce any noise. The AC has temperature range from 16-32degree.


The cooling capability is remarkable. I am impressed by Hitachi product and service and would recommend others too.

I recently purchased two 1 ton invertor Ac. But it is shame to Hitachi after so many complained no one come for demo and its first service.


I contact them about  10 times they registered complained but no action. Suggest no one should buy their Ac for poor service.


If they can not provide service in Ahmedabad city then how we can expect that they will provide services in nearby and rural areas. Worst company

FLIPKART FLIPS ON ITS COMMITMENTS TO INSTALL AC

I bought AC HITACHI from FLIPKART and was delivered to me on 25/05/2015 the ill fateful DAY in my life.


FLIPKART promised while buying the product that it will install it within a 5-7 Days time after Delivery at our place with an Installation Charge of Rs. 451/- which is to be paid to the Person who installs it.


Now FLIPKART is making FALSE promises day by day, that we apologise for the delay in installation and it will be done within next 3 Days

Hitachi Service is not Bad.....there is NO Service

Despite multiple reminders since April, and assurances on MAIL, NO ONE has been sent to service my AC


their call centre is actually a complaint logging centre (as confirmed by themselves).


They can only log complaints..they do not have any process for escalations, redressal, investigating why complaints have not been attended.


One can keep login complaints and their field staff keeps closing the complaints without attending to these.


Then their call centre gives you the number of their service centre with much drama about the nearest service centre to your residence.....


BUT when you call these numbers they are either out of service OR the bell rings and no one picks the phone (tried in the morning, afternoon, evening).


Hitachi service for ACs is not bad......it is actually NON EXISTENT!

Summer is a killer in Hyderabad, and as millions do I also made up my mind to beat the heat! At first I thought of a air cooler, but then again there is the problem with humidity associated with all coolers. Then I thought of buying a portable AC, but after reading a couple of negative reviews trashed that idea and made my mind to buy a decent split AC.


I live in a rented apartment on the top floor, my room feels like an oven when I come back from work in the evening, moreover my house owner wont allow me install a window unit, hence thought for a split ac.


Next was the task of determining the ac tonnage I needed. I used the tonnage calculator in bluestar site and it came about 1 ton.


I started doing market surveys( roaming one shop to another) to find the best price of the available brands. First I thought of buying Samsung or LG; later I came to know that Hitachi uses copper piping which is supposed to be better than the aluminium piping that most brands use. My friends and colleagues also advised me that Hitachi is a premium brand in AC and I should go for it if price is not a constraint. Truly speaking I was in double minds, buying a Hitachi AC would cost me easily 7k extra than  brands like LG/ Samsung. But long story short, I gave it thought and decided to go with Hitachi. Booked this AC on Friday, got delivered on Saturday and installation the day after ie. Sunday.


Here are my observations:




  1. Cooling is good , cools down my room in about 20mins.




  2. Low on electricity, 4 star hence 1 unit/ hr. Checked in the electric supply meter.




  3. Average on looks, though temperature display on the AC unit would have been better, Remote is not backlit either.




  4. Copper piping for ODU-IDU connection also.






Still to see: The final power bill at months end, and how durable it is.


HITACHI KAZE PLUS is a good AC

This is my first review in MS. It was a long pending plan to buy an AC. As very recently, Bangalore climate has changed a lot in last few years. Its summer and I badly needed an AC. I did a lot of research and comparison between ONIDA, LG, SAMSUNG, VOLTAS & HITACHI. Few things that I considered while buying Hitachi are as follows


BTU / Hr. - British Thermal Unit. Btu measures the amount of heat an AC unit can remove from the room per Hour.


Total Power Input - Watts Consumed by AC


Star Rating - Number of BEE Star Rating


EER - Energy Efficiency Ratio  -  Calculated as BTU/Hr  divided by Total Power Input in watts


The more the EER. less unit your AC consumes. It only makes a difference or you rather see the difference in your power bill when you use it for more then 8-10Hrs. per day.


For me budget was not a concern. Lot of my friend suggested me to buy ONIDA & LG. Few also told me to buy Voltas. But I compared their pricing with Star Rating and Energy Effeciency Ratio. The price difference between LG, SAMSUNG & ONIDA is not much. But, Hitachi is on the higher side. I decided to buy HITACHI because of after sales service(in Bangalore) is very good. My friend has HITACHI & things are peaceful so far with him. Do not expect good customer service from any company be it HITACHI, LG or ONIDA. So, dont make your buying decision based on after sales Customer service.


Build Quality:  Build quality of the Indoor Unit is good, nothing fancy though. Outdoor unit is heavy with good build quality. Noise level(Sound Level in dB) of the Indoor unit as per my comparison is a bit high but I did not feel anything unusual while using it.


Performance: As far as cooling and performance is concerned, there is no complain so far. Cooling is pretty fast. I normally use the AUTO mode which adjusts everything accordingly to room temperature. Remote control buttons with icons are pretty user friendly.


Installation was pretty good and neat. I paid a little extra for the AC because I wanted a good stabilizer and brackets(L-Brackets) for the Outdoor Unit. I personally prefer less LED lights on the indoor unit because it disturbs me at night. HITACHI KAZE+ does not show you the Temperature on the AC Indoor Unit. It has a big bright LCD Display on the Remote Control(Hitachi calls it as REMOCON).


While doing my research for these brands, most of the people are inclined either towards ONIDA or HITACHI. Because ONIDA Specifications are pretty much at PAR with Good Brands like Hitachi and their pricing is pretty competitive. HITACHI has a brand value and has lot of customized modes like ACT(Auto Climate Technology) based on the state you reside.


So, to conclude, if you are looking for an AC and price is not a factor, then I would recommend HITACHI . If you think budget is on the tighter side, then go with ONIDA. I do not know about LG/Samsung. They are leaders in Audio, Video and Mobiles. Always consider buying AC with high EER and Star Rating. Also look at the Watts consumed by the AC. This are the things which is written on sticker either towards the Right or the Left Side of the AC Indoor Unit.


Do not listen to Sales guys! Make your decision based on your budget and brand. In India, be it HITACHI or LG or ONIDA, do not expect good Customer Service until and unless you keep following up and make calls after calls after calls. After you buy the product, you are not more a CUSTOMER, you become CUST - SE - MAR.

Update on HITACHI KAZE PLUS Dated - 25th Mar, 2015.


From past few days I have had issues with inefficient cooling. I was really unhappy. After preliminary checks and few google searches, I came to a conclusion that I needed to call up the AC technicians. I immediately got the relevant details of the AC technicians. They came in, checked and found that the R22 Refrigerant has exhausted. So, they did the refill and within no time my AC came back in action. Again, it these many years, I have had no problems with my HITACHI AC. Needless to say, I clean my AC Air Filter regularly with mild detergent.


I would soon write a review on the repair guys and their company for the wonderful job they have done.(No. I did not get paid by them but truly they are amazing.)
