This was the first AC that we had got and for the initial days it worked properly and had no issues with the ac but then with time the system started making more and more sounds.


We called their service engineers to go ahead and check and they repaired it and it started working fine but again it had issues after few days and even when its kind of hot outside the compressor doesnt work properly and it doesnt give the cold air which is expected out of it. We finally sold the ac and were completely dissatisfied with the product. Would suggest not to go for this ac. I give a heads down to this ac. Thank you

I purchased Hitachi Air conditioner 1.5 Ton Split RAU518AVD on 27 April and got installed on 3 May 2015.After installation this AC is not working properly. within 1 month I have complained 3 times [16.05.2015/18.05.2015 and 20.05.2015]to Hitachi customer care and their tech.


There was no issues until the unit was delivered to my home. Then I had to contact Hitachi for the installation and had to do lot of explaining regarding installation package that I bought.


I was wondering why customer should call for installation.This was a strange experience for me so far. This could be possible since I bought during the new year sale but unit was delivered after 1.5 months.  I feel that If customer perception need to be improved then Delivery and Installation need to work together.

I purchased on Spilt AC of Hitachi which we all know is quality products, the issue is with its pathetic service by Ahmadabad HITACHI Service team.


I registered a complent on 8th June for no cooling and their CS Agent has assured that their technical will visit in 48 Hrs, so we waited till 10th but no one has even called.  I called them again on 10th evening but no resolution post 3-4 calls. Only one thing you will be getting'CALL on HOLD". I tried every next day atleast and called around 30 times to their different CS agent, floor manager, and don know who else. Nothing worked out till today.


I use to talk to Mr. Hardik Darji who assured on every next day, final assurance of his was on 15th June that someone will visit today by late evening. so as usual nothing happened. Thanks GOD I have another AC of Godrej working fine in this summer.


Till today no one has bothered to resolve my issue and I am wondering how come such people are being hired by Hitachi?Can anyone help me in this or I need to look for local vendor which will violet the warranty.

I have bought one HItchi RAS 223 HVD 2 TON ON 31.03.2015, installed on 01.04.2015, by their authoried service firm.If u have a small room its  good.The cooling was Good.I feel little noisy at high end fan speed


1) Service technician charges Rs.400 for installation. but we need to purchase a stabilizer to avoid power fluctuations(it costed about Rs. 2000/-)


2) remote has night vision display but on AC body no display is present(Hitachi models are like that they told)


3) The price in vijay sales is very low compared to other shop price as well as other on line sites


You can purchase this product without any hesitation if your room is small and you have small family.

I have bought one HItchi RAS 223 HVD 2 TON ON 31.03.2015, installed on 01.04.2015, by their authoried service firm.


First they have not arrange demo of their product. I came to know that the authorised installer has installed A C wrongly, then I called to Company official by letter.First there was a call from 793041xxxx(from Ahmedabad), n they arranged for Demo of A C.The Person who came for Demo also confirmed that A C installed in wrong way.


I called the Official of Hitchai in Kolkata 833694xxxx/842019xxxx n asked for Proper installation of  A C.The people at last two mobile no told me to pay charges again for installation, otherwise they will attend my case.


Can some one advise how to move to statutory authority in West Bengal, Kolkata for proper redressal of the issue.

WORST SERVICE FOR NEW PURCHASE

Do not buy any HITAICHI PRODUCT specially a/c. They have worst service network. As claimed by local BM Mr. RANJAN at Bhubaneswar.


They do not serve beyond 10KM radius of any service centre. This is not informed by seller to you and assured best services. In the name of free installation they have outsourced all installation services of Split a/c to unqualified persons.


Took 4 days to install after intense follow-up. I have suffered badly due to bad installation and my a/c is raining water from indoor unit along with ice within 6 days after installation. They are not attending my complaint for last 7 days. I am reeling under intense heat this summer. Please be informed about the pitfalls of buying an unknown product.


I went ahead against my better judgment and bought HITACHI KAZE NEO SPLIT A/C (1.5 TON) instead of regular models from LG, SAMSUNG, VOLTAS and CARRIER etc. (I already have 3 nos. LG a/c and 1 from Whirlpool) where I do not suffer any problem due to their Service personal tantrums.

I purchased 1.5ton hitachi split AC model RAC318HUDD On 23.5.14. Exactly on 22.5.15 the AC has stopped functioning. I reported the matter to company. An engineer visited after Two days. I was Charged 500/- for three min visit. The guy said a supply terminal is not working .I need to pay 3500/- to get it replaced. Inspite of telling him that it is just one year since I purchased the AC.


He was adamant on money. I asked him to replace the part on payment basis only to be told that it will be done next day. Now it is fourth day but no respone yet from company. High claims on product and services is only a corrupt practice. Pl join me in saying "down down, Hitachi down down."

Dear Sir/ ma'am,


I purchased Hitachi Air conditioner 1.5 Ton Split RAU518AVD on 27 April  and got installed on 3 May 2015.


After installation this AC is not working properly. within 1 month I have complained 3 times [16.05.2015/18.05.2015 and 20.05.2015]to Hitachi customer care and their technical team has visit 7-9 times for resolving the problem but unfortunately problem  could not be resolved.


Service Center - Mr. Deepak-011-65412425- NO revert except fake promising


Hitachi Customer Care- 011-35324848- No confirmation


Service manager [ contacted through service center]- no comment. using rough language


It was my bad luck I chose Hitachi. I am fed up following hitachi for resolving my ac problem but no one is bother to take any action.


Customer care tells to call service center and service center tells to call area service manager and service manager tells to contact Seller [ Vijay Sales karolbagh] and seller tells to contact brand.


I am rounding and rounding between this circle.


Above all Hitachi HO  [basaed in Gujrat] tells that they can not do anything in this case. only delhi based service center can do anything.


within 1 month my new ac has become 1 yr old due to these problems.


I request you to do something. I dont want to get this AC repaired. I want my money [ Rs. 40000+ installation charges-2900] back.

We purchased it at very reasonable price. product is good. some features are


1) AC cooling is quite faster in short time, but I feel little noisy at high end fan speed

I had purchased hitachi 1.5T Kaze version, the salesperson told me it has the copper coil and comes with inverter technology, (truth is aluminium coil has much better cooling, and with a good brand there isn;t much problem.and it has no inverter technology).


The service given by them is really pathetic, the ac's cooling effect reduced after 6 months and trying to get in touch with the service people was pretty much pointless. I have literally contacted every person in relation to service. The shop keeper, customer care, area manager.


But getting them to fix the ac was a lost cause.It has been almost 2 months since I had lodged my complaint and no word from them.Spent almost 40k on the ac. Now I regret going for hitachi .The equipment is not trustworthy and the service is just a shame. Please do your research before going for hitachi.

Hitachi 1.5 T Inverter AC last Jan 2014. I got it delivered in the middle of Feb 2014 as promised. I got a good deal since I booked during the new year Sale.


There was no issues until the unit was delivered to my home. Then I had to contact Hitachi for the installation and had to do lot of explaining regarding installation package that I bought. I was wondering why customer should call for installation.This was a strange experience for me so far. This could be possible since I bought during the new year sale but unit was delivered after 1.5 months.  I feel that If customer perception need to be improved then Delivery and Installation need to work together.


I short listed Hitachi after checking Daikin(not confident since it was quite new brand for me)  also since I felt O General Inverter AC was highly priced. I never liked Samsung or LG AC brands because of friend's feedback I received that they are good for short term not for long term but are always priced competitively.


After installation was complete I was angry that external unit did not start up. But the Hitachi team ensured that the unit was replaced  within 3 days at no additional cost. This is reason which I am giving 4/5 for service & Support despite several challenges in installation and delivery.


Hitachi 1.5 Ton RAU018KVEA Kampa Inverter Split Air Conditioner.


We have been using AC mainly during the months of March -NOV. Our major usage is during lunch time when it is hot and also during night .


The performance of Inverter AC was excellent and cooling was also excellent. Absolutely no sound inside.


We are required to clean the filter using water after 200 hrs of usage as it is recommended by the Hitachi team.


I was surprised with electricity Bill since I was able to save nearly Rs 700 per month as well as use it for longer hours in night(8 hrs) after switching over from Window AC to Inverter Split AC.


I was previously using O General window AC for almost 9 years which is still running clean today but power consumption is high.


Hitachi service team also call us and let us know regarding servicing options right on time. Though I had lot of hiccups to get the Inverter AC started I would say myself and family is very happy with Hitachi product and its performance.


I wanted to write this review after using it for sometime.


It is great Value for Money but you need to have lot of patience during installation.

Don't buy a Hitachi product ever. I bought a Hitachi AC and my nightmare started after that. After registering an installation request and contentious followup they didn't turn up for installation so I made my own arrangement and get it installed.


When I called their service center to protest their poor services they blamed me only and asked that I have to pay 400 rs for visit otherwise they will not start warranty and when I told them that I will take it to court they said you do what ever you want we will not give warranty.

Very poor after sale service.


Gas leaked in 1 month after purchase, probably due to bad installation. Been 3 weeks, still the issue is not resolved.Technicians don't show up after appointment, don't pick up calls.


Don't inform that Sunday is holiday, and still promise to come on Sunday. I took half day leave from office when the technician confirmed that he would visit by 4:00 pm on the same day. And then he did not come, let alone inform. No use of calling, as they don't answer the calls.For me its like I have stuck my money in this, and have to bear the summers of chennai.

Very sad to inform you that I have purchased one split ac(HITACHI(RAU518HUDD) in the month of April 25th from Unique Electronics, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi and presently the device is completely useless and the temperature at New Delhi exceeded its optimum level now a days.


In-spite of repeated complaints and web call registration(thrice) the issue stands unresolved till date. I'v only received false promises and suggestion from your customer support and technicians. I'm feeling very helpless with one asthma patient at my home and cursing my decision to opt for Hitachi. My ac is well under warranty and the manufacturer always make excuses regarding the post sales service and warranty. I strongly believe that the device sold to me is having some faults in terms of manufacturing defect but no one is there to listen my voice.


Suddenly one skilled technician had visited my place on the verge of 48 hrs. on 14th June'14 and after inspecting the device he concluded the following points:


1) Improper installation was done due to lack of technical knowledge and as a result of this gas has been leaked out from the outdoor unit and the same thing has been confirmed by the previous technician as well.


2) Undersized pipes were used due to lack of technical knowledge and as a result of this cooling has been effected/compromised.


Today, technician again wants to refill the gas but I have not allowed him to do the same on the grounds that refilling of gas after 2-3 days interval would clearly indicates the manufacturing defect and technician's fault of Hitachi. Once the warranty is over I have to throw this device due to manufacturing defect and technician's fault.


On the basis of this scenario, I believe that I have given to Hitachi quality time and opportunity to replace this faulty device along with all the accessories but each and every time they have come up with lame excuses and false promises to hide their faults. As I have already mentioned in my previous complain that I have an Asthma patient at my home and due this deliberate negligence from Hitachi the health of my patient is deteriorating day by day.

I had filled up Service Request Form more than a fortnight ago. My Web Call Registration was done for HEALTH CHECK UP of a 0.9T SPLIT AIR CONDITIONER model ACE FOLLOW ME.


I had also received a confirmation message for calling the Hitachi Service Centre though the line was busy for a long time and was unable to communicate with the executive. My req. 14050703534 hasn't been attended yet.

I am using a Hitachi Split AC for last two years. From the very beginning, the service of the company remained to be awful. On 11 may, 2014, the AC had stopped working. I booked a complaint on 12 May which was not responded to till 14 May.


After several calls to the service contact numbers, which remains totally unaware of the system in which the company actually runs, the technician visited on 15 May. Nobody could specify any timeframe by which the machine would be repaired. Again after almost a hundred phone calls and communication, the technician came back on 17 may with a part, replaced the defective one but could not solve the problem.


After that, there is complete uncertainty in getting the repairs. The most irritating part is the lack of concern and communication towards the customer and the way the service people behave. It seems like, even after paying a premium price for the AC, customers are at the mercy of the company. I want a fast and effective response from the company, as living without AC at a scorching 41 degrees is becoming unbearable.

The AC stopped working on 8th May, and we were promised a resolution within 48 hours, but we did not even get a call. We have been sending reminders since then, but no one from the company has even tried to attend to our complaint.


Instead, we got a call yesterday whether they inquired whether anyone visited (which obviously has not happened so we refused), and then we got a notification that the complaint is closed.


This is the complaint resolution of Hitachi - they deliver air conditioners which do not last for even one season, and then close the consumer complaint without even attending to it.


I am planning to file a court case against Hitachi for what happened.

Worst AC I Had So Far..42K Product

I bought Hitachi Followme from retailer worth 40K+ and the next day I realized what a big mistake I made. Technicians came with no experience and preparation, they asked me how to do things and ended up having the AC fitted in some other room! I wanted it in my bedroom. There was so safety measures and equipment with them.


Now within a week the AC has stopped working. Lodged complaints after 20 minutes wait at their CC call center and after 4 days no response from Hitachi. Snapdeal's great for Shopping Hitachi just stay away.

I bought 1.5 ton HITACHI split ac after reading the reviews on this forum, within one week of installation I realized that the ac is not cooling properly. After repeated complaining no one turned up, After three weeks finally I managed to get the Hitachi local technician's number who had came to install.


Two technicians came but they worsened the cooling of the ac, now my ac is just working like a normal fan, its not even a month over since I bought the ac.


MY earnest request to the people reading the reviews of Hitachi, please do not buy any Hitachi product. My 50K is wasted.

Worst After Sales Service Possible

We bought an Atom Square split AC from Hitachi and repenting about it. It worked for a few weeks and water started leaking from the inside unit. The technician confirmed it is a faulty unit and that it has to be replaced. 2.5 years later now the struggle to get it fixed by Hitachi is still going on with no positive results. The service center phone number I got from customer care in Hyderabad is always switched off. If I open a complaint by calling the general customer care @ 35324848 they will tell you the technician will call and come within 48 hours which could mean like a week or so. That too after you call them everyday reminding them to send someone.


I just get a headache when I hear this name Hitachi! If you want to lose your time and money go for this product which has the worst after sales service.
