Purchasing Daikin AC has trun out to be the worst experience that I ever had in buying any of the appliances and not only AC. Their after sales service is pathetic. I chose to ignore the various bad reviews I read about Daikin service on mouthshut and other forum and paying the price now so please don't ignore the reviews written by various people here, I can correlate very well now after going through all the harassment.
Before giving the details of my experience I would just give you simple pointers to confirm how bad is their customer service, you can confirm for yourself
1) Try calling customer care number 1800229300, you would be put in long waiting queue and after few minutes your waiting time can increase further.
2) They outsource installation to local service providers which they call'authorized channel partner'. These authorized channel partners are the most unskilled and unprofessional people in the world. The worst thing is, Daikin, their service team and installation team are all the different parties in the game. They would keep asking you to contact the other party to get your issue resolved with no responsibility.
3) The customer care has provided me the numbers 0120-4258250 as their service centre number in Noida, which refused to accept that its Daikin centre when I called up, unbelievable.
Here is my personal experience:
I have purchased Daikin dated 20th April 2015 from the dealer in Noida. The AC was installed through authorized channel partner.
Within few days of installation the problem developed with AC cooling and then it stopped cooling. I have launched the complaint regarding this with Daikin customer care, ref no. GZB150503754PI. The technician from Diakin visited me on 5th May evening and found the problem of gas leakage. As per him, it was the problem with installation and hence installation guys should resolve this. I have called installation guys from but he said this should be resolved by the Daikin service team and not the installation team. I let technician from Daikin and installation guy talk and resolve this. Both discussed and blamed each other for not doing their task properly in-front of me and refused to resolve it at their end. I being customer felt frustrated and harassed looking at the behavior from Daikin team overall as both refused to rectify the problem. Technician prepare the report, handed over to me and asked me to contact customer care.
I wrote the email with all the documents to Daikin customer care service, no reply as of now.
I also called Daikin customer care next day, they said they would resolve by talking to technician who visited me, but they couldn't contact him as his phone was switched off!
They asked some other technician would call me up in half an hour and would look into the matter. No call till two and half hours, I called back again to customer care. Again they said another technician would call me up, I refused to accept and asked them to transfer my call to some senior person. After keeping me waiting for around 20 mins, the executive said that installation team has been assigned now to resolve the issue. After a long discussion they put me on conference with the authorized channel partner from installation team who actually installed my AC. On asking wether it was the problem with installation or product, the guy bluntly replied "Its neither installation problem, nor product problem. Its a machine so problem can occur anytime" Can you believe it? Its not a local brand AC which would develop a problem within 10-12 days of purchase, but no one is ready to take responsibility. On top of it, my call was not transferred to the senior either stating that he is busy.
Is this the kind of service expected from Daikin which claims to be the world number 1 AC company? Even during installation, I faced lot of issues as the installation guys kept me waiting for hours from the time given and only visited the next day. From the installation experience and now the service experience within 14 days of AC purchase, my feedback for Daikin customer service is really poor. I am still waiting to get my issue resolved.
BEWARE OF DAIKIN, THEIR AFTER SALES SERVICE SUCKS BIG TIME.
