I am writing this review/complaint about Zoomcar after being frustrated with Zoomcar pathetic service. We had a plan to go to Hill Station on 16-18th July and did not want to take our own Cars. Instead we wanted to take a Big car like Sedan or SUV category. We had heard a lot about Zoomcar. Since it was our first experience with any Rental car, we did not want to take any chances and wanted a hassle free experience. However this became a worst experience for us.


We booked a Honda City with Zoomcar for 3 days in Rs 19111(including 5000 Security amount) on 14th July for DELIVERY on 15th July night. Impressed with the pictures(they show on their portal), we were sure the Car will be new. If not new, atleast will be in a top position to run on the Hills. Delivery time was 8:30 pm and the driver was almost on time. Until this time everything seemed good.


However when driver arrived with the car, the car was not upto our expectations and was very old car. Since we did not have any other option at that time, we made our mind for the same car. Now, driver was in a hurry to return and was expecting us to'accept' the delivery and'start' the trip asap. However we were supposed to INSPECT the vehicle before accepting it and starting the trip(as mentioned on its app). When we started inspecting, we found some minor/major dents in the car and noticed that the car was already ran around 1 Lac kilometer. Although 1 Lac km is not bad with HondaCity but we did not want to take any chances on Hill driving. Later on also found that the Jack/Rod kit was not complete and you CANNOT change your tyres using that kit. I was shocked with such a car delivered to us and the driver was very casual like it is a normal thing for them. He seemed very eager to impose that car on us. We discussed and decided to not accept that car and instead ask for a replacement car.


When we talked to the customer car executive about it, he said there is no other car available on our nearest location(East of Kailash). When we asked to collect vehicle from any location, he then managed to arrange a replacement car for us from the same location. Since he was very sure for the alternate'good' car, we went to East of Kailash center on the same Honda city with the driver leaving our cars on the delivery location. While on our way to the EOK, the driver too accepted that THIS CAR IS NOT SUITABLE FOR HILLS. On reaching there, we were told by the area manager: Sandeep, that there is no alternate car available and you should cancel the booking if you are not happy with the original car. To our surprise, the tone & attitude of so called reputed company's manager was very bad and unprofessional. He did not even think of talking to us about our problems and try to rectify them.


Later on when we talked to the customer care about it, they said there is one car available and you can check it. Now, the car that was mentioned was already parked there and was very dirty that had not been washed for long. They did not even bother to clear the dust on the windscreen. When we saw that, we straight away decided to cancel our booking since we were not satisfied with the type of cars Zoomcar was trying to IMPOSE on us. It seemed those were the worst cars they were left with and they were trying to impose them on us to earn some money, since they knew that we already made the payment. We asked the Customer care to Cancel our booking with TOTAL REFUND and they agreed on email/message that they will return all the money: Rs 19111. I even shared the pics of that dirty car on the number+919900760006 shared by Customer care and they also accepted that the CAR IS NOT IN A DELIVERY CONDITION. When we asked for a shuttle which can drop us to nearest metro station, Sandeep straightaway denied it and said talk to Customer Care for any help. It seemed it was useless to expect anything at that moment.


Later on we booked a new car from REVV company and to our surprise, that less reputed compnay delivered us a car with excellent condition. When I say excellent condition, it means a Well Serviced & Polished Car with Full Petrol, almost No Dents, 40K KM driven and a very important thing: a well behaved and professional driver. We did not have any type of issues with the car and the entire process of booking and returning.


Now the hassle with Zoomcar did not end there, while refunding my money they deducted Rs 2500 as Inconvenience fee since we cancelled the booking. Now, I am trying to figure out that what type of inconvenience they had in that entire incident. The total inconvenience was for us but still they wanted to earn with our inconvenience as well.


I am not sure if anyone else faced such terrible experience with Zoomcar but I understand one thing that "The Name is not enough". It reminded me of a saying "Unchi Dukan Feeke Pakwan". The only good part with Zoomcar were their Customer Care executives.
