My experience has been terrible with them. I will point out why.
I booked an SUV through them for 4 days to travel to a resort in Corbett. I was a little skeptical as I didn't see any number to call for help. But I read a few reviews and thought of going for it.
I paid a little above 20k through my bank account. And they confirmed that they received the money.
Then they said I must upload a driver's license. I already had 2 copied published prior to making the payment.
They said they are verifying the DL. A few seconds later I get a message that my DL has been declined due to duplicate copies! I had uploaded 2 pics so that if one not clear they can use the other one.
I deleted them and uploaded a new one. Soon I get a message they are verifying. A few seconds later comes a reply that it has again been declined due to photocopy. Photocopy? I just clicked a fresh image with my phone right there and then!
I desperately look for a number to call. There is none. There comes an option to contact them through email. I do that and soon comes a generic email on how a DL should be should be clear, and that your DL should not be laminated etc.
I take care to upload another carefully taken pic, then comes the reply "incomplete information", therefore, declined again. I send them another email saying, what is missing? Then comes another generic reply on how a DL should be. I get no specific answers.
I again look for a phone number to call. There is none. I try one last time to upload a pic again, then again comes the reply, photocopy. And there, declined.
I sent them a pic of my valid DL issued by "Transport Department National Capital Territory of Delhi". What more do they want?
And with each decline, they told me they will cancel by booking. It was as if they wanted to cancel it.
Desperately, I found no other way and canceled my booking with them on my mobile app.
It quickly got canceled. They informed me that they would deduct Rs.200 cancellation fee and the rest of the money would be refunded to my account in the next 5-15 days.
I have a resort booked on the 21, 22, 23 of June.
So I need to travel tomorrow, and the money for travel is stuck with them for the next 5-15 days as they say.
If the money can go to their bank so quickly, then why can't it be sent to my account just as fast?
It is not a good situation to be in. No helpline numbers, no one to call.
I have called my local travel agent to book a ride for me, that is costing around the same with a driver. Now I have to arrange another 20k for traveling.
I have described the situation to you. Now you decide whether their service is good or not.
I had my DL with them for a long time. This is the first time I mustered up the courage to book a ride through them. Why had they not checked my DL earlier? Or at least, they could have asked to verify DL before taking the money?
Also, I understand that they might not want to speak to everyone, and that is why they don't show their phone numbers. But once someone has purchased from you, how can you still hide your phone numbers?
I never got to speak to anyone from Zoom car. But I am happy I canceled them, because I could have got into trouble later on, and then I would have had no one to get in touch with.
I wouldn't trust a company ever, who treats a customer like this.
And I just hope I get my money back now.
