I’m writing this review 3 months after I quit the company which I was relentlessly trying to get in for the past 6 years and 2 rejections. Before everything could start, I accept that I was slow, but according to the stats my then TL pulled up, I was handling 1200 tickets when everyone in team was averaging around 800 - 900 tickets per month!
No one helps with any sort of clarifications, when you try to find a solution, a disbelief and discourage follows! There was pressure, but no one was ready to accept its presence or work as a team to overcome it! Not ashamed to say that I have cried sometimes, coz I sometimes have worked 20 hours without sleep, It drove me insane! No one spoke to me like I also mattered, no one cared.
Surrounded by 15-18 members, but I always felt alone. I was always the one to initiate the conversation but everyone would say they’re busy. Only ask me if I can make it to the outing when I’m in knee deep of work! My then TL always have a way of getting the work out of us, “You want confirmation or what? ” “I have the power to cut you out of your night shift allowance” “Nobody help him” and many more! Denied leave when I was sick, so went to work and had the strangest questions asked to me, like “How can I even get sick? ”!
For a fact, I was yelled at just for asking leave, My then TL didn’t believe me! Checked with the doctor in the parking building and they suggested not to visit office premises for atleast a month, guess what? My then TL gave me a day leave and expected me to comeback to work after that, also, her words, “after you comeback, make sure you never get sick! ”. How is that even possible?
At some point I wasn’t able to take it no more and thats coming from someone who worked in three major service companies for years! Blackmailed saying no confirmation will be given, shift allowance will be cut off and even if I attend interview elsewhere, they won’t give good reviews about me! When I said I quit, they agreed that I was doing a good job, wanted to give me extra pay, even leaves to sort my family issues! If I was doing a great job, then why did they keep telling me I wont get confirmation or My work wasn’t satisfactory? My DRI went way beyond to help me, but I couldn’t watch him take the hits from manager, to make me think I can stay! Finally, I wasn’t the only person to go through all of this!
After I left, many others have left too and I’m still receiving a lot of resume to refer to the company i’m working in right now! Its happening to many but they are afraid of being blackmailed! I am writing this review so that someone would see, perhaps Sridhar himself does and takes immediate action! A company well known for a great environment has now created toxic people like the TL!
At this rate, Accounts team wont be able to handle queries in emails as well as chats at the same time! Time delay in providing resolution will become a usual thing, quality of resolution will decrease and would be really hard to improvise.
Moreover, even if the management hires new members, they themselves will leave after a while, only the same existing members who have that pact will be there and now one new can join and work in peace! just my opinion, Thanks!
