Traditionally, Zen means dhyana or meditative concentration.
We use it also as term to denote the perfection.
Coming to the the restaurent ZEN the latter meaning hold true. I feel that the food is great --- only chinese n japanese cusines are served, the ambience is good with the only exception that the smoker and non smoker zones have to be seperated to create more space n comfort for the non smokers.
But plz mind it that the food is a bit more expensive than the regular stuff that you can have otherwise. In the sea food if u wanna have the prawns u have to shell out a minmum of Rs450 n above... I have been to other chinese n japanese restaurents too n I think ZEN ppl should also serve the prawns variety that people in large groups can order at more economical rates n enjoy.
Rest is ok ... they have fish, poultry, lamb, prawns . In veg they have tofu, jalapenos, schezwan flavours n variety of other dishes n other regular chinese n japanese stuff. They also have some good chef specials custom made to order.
Not to forget the best thing is that you are also served in plenty the liquors n champanes n wines- both red n white n imported too...... the champegne u can either have for the Rs2700 or another u can try for just a meagre amount of Rs950. sounds cool ha !
One thing that I love there besides the wine n cocktails is the MOCKTAILS. u gotta try them to beleive me. In all the service is great. As per the traditon my wine goblet was never empty-- the servers did nt let that happen. You feel elated when you are served non stop. Ok nothing is free I know ; but value for money is not something that you get everywhere.
