The YUFIT healthband promised to do more than the Xiaomi MiBand and that too at the same price. Alas, I was disappointed. It turned out to be really inaccurate.
YUFIT is another fitness band from Micromax's Chinese collaborator YU Televentures that has recently entered the Indian health and fitness market. It cost Rs. 999 and promises to deliver more than the hugely popular Xiaomi MiBand. It has a tiny OLED display, Bluetooth connectivity and is compatible with Android devices. It tracks your activity and keeps you updated with your notifications. It is also claimed to be water-resistant. However, my joy was short-lived when I gave it a try. It is really inaccurate for its intended purpose.
The YUFIT activity tracker wrongly registered more than 500 steps even though I had taken around 100 steps at most. It provides the added benefit of an expert coach who promises to provide feedback and tips regarding your routine even though the band is itself inaccurate. However, I was unable try out this feature as it is an extra paid option.
The Healthify Me app with Expert Connect gives you a visual regarding the data collected, exercise regimen and also access to the coach but its functionality also seem questionable. For example, during a short treadmill routine program, the app showed that I had burned 5000 calories(enough to knock your socks off) while the treadmill equipment itself showed only about 650 calories burnt by me. This was a relief and also a thorough disappointment.
Until they drastically improve the product, I cannot recommend it to any as the data collected by the sensors is untrustworthy. Kindly rate my review and leave your comments. Cheers!
