Out of the blue, YouTube completely did away with all the qualifying criteria that existed in the past for each stage of advancement for creators. For instance getting to be able to live stream itself was a privilege not available to every user as it is now.
In the past, you could not make use of several of YouTube’s features freely available unless certain qualifying factors were being met. Each stage of progress was like an achievement. Then I don’t know if YouTube suddenly obtained technology for unlimited storage or something, they did away with all the qualifiers and gave almost everything on a platter to any idiot who can create a Gmail account. Then started the problem, with the 4G and 5G revolution and internet turning ultra-cheap, all sorts of trash began to come online and put up retarded videos which their trash brethren would watch and they outdid the performance of content being uploaded until then. Quality of creators as well as viewers began to diminish. What does YouTube do then, make monetisation even more difficult and demonetise the existing channels if they didn’t meet the “qualifiers”. Technically they are now following the Indian educational system method wherein you are made to rote learn volumes of books and material which would never be of use to you in life just to make it tougher to make it to the cut-off list.
The reason I am going into all these details is because with the monumental amount of garbage being pumped in by useless people, YouTube is starved of enough moderators to look into each person’s concern or activity. They have therefore limited their support to the content creators who have met monetisation eligibility threshold alone. Even those people mostly get only the copy-pasted “read our forums” answer to their questions from YouTube’s “creator support”.
Given how much pressed they are now, they just go about blindly acting on takedown requests and “flags” like anything and block channels and remove content from channels. Forget about “Fair Use”, even if you use copyright-free content in your video, any moron can submit a takedown request and YouTube blocks deletes your content or blocks your activity for weeks and the counter claim can take weeks to solve. So all that one needs to do to delete a highly productive YouTube channel is to submit 3 bogus copyright claims and your channel gets banned permanently. Given you can have only one adsense account, that is a ban on you for life.
Why not then allow only verified accounts and legit users to create new channels to begin with you may ask, well they need to counter their challenge from TikTok. So they won’t. They want unlimited content to keep getting pumped in at the cost of ruthless and brainless blocking and deletion of content by legit users whenever they engage in large scale purges. Not just this, but this raises doubts whether YouTube is deliberately engaging in this activity to steal from small content creators. The ads that played so long as the content was active would still be paid to YouTube by the advertisers. So is YouTube going on a war footing in acting on take down requests just to keep the earnings to themselves?
A sample of their so called "review" of my explanation to a CG strike over copyright is given below which is all a lie or the person who read my response is stupid. It is a public domain video that was streamed and there was no abuse of the live stream! How hard is that to understand? Now who is YouTube to do a policing in the first place of what they "think" is copyrighted content? Did the "owner" of the content appeal to act on the video? Why are they doing this hired henchmen like business working for specific channels? This is nothing less than that if they are acting like bouncers to defend a public property that has been fenced up by some land mafia.
