I had visited the YLG salon and spa at BTM last week for a full body waxing. Since this was the first time I was getting the FULL body wax done (have done fulll arms and legs before), I requested the lady attending to me to be a bit careful as I have sensitive skin. They used their much publicized chocolate wax for the treatment on my hands and legs which as all fine. But after that, the lady attending to me, Shilpa, said that "Chocolate wax is over, I would use another wax for your back". After waxing with "some other wax" she applied some ice on my back and front saying that "Madam please dont panic, it is your first time waxing treatment for the back, so I am applying some ice.
Afterwards I would suggest you to take a full body massage and scrubbing to soothe the effects." I was a bit hesitant for the massage and scrubbing thing after the wax, but after she repeatedly pressurized, I went ahead with the massage. Next morning I woke up with terrible itching and rashes all over my back, chest and stomach. Within one hour the rashes transformed into full fledged in-numerous boils spread all over the affected areas. Same evening I had to rush to a dermatologist at a reputed hospital in an "Emergency" to get the treatment. After looking at the boils, the first thing the dermatologist said was "How can the beauty parlour professionals be so careless.
They had blocked your hair follicles immediately after waxing with the oil they used for the massage, which should have never been done. You should go and show your plight to the beauty parlor owner, but you cannot step out for minimum ONE WEEK" He prescribed me the treatment for WAX FOLLICULITIS. For the next 3 days I could not sleep due to the immense pain and itching in the boils. I could not step out just because it would make the situation worse.
My sincere advice to everybody would be to never ever visit this place for waxing or any other service (I personally would never do that) because they are just interested in making money by forcing the customers to take unwanted services irrespective of the customer's well being.
