Yepme is an e-commerce website that was launched in 2011 and specializes in online retailing of men and women's clothing and accessories. I've heard mixed reviews about this online shopping site and for this reason I've never had enough confidence to make any purchases from this website. However, recently when I saw one of their sponsored ads posted on Facebook, I got tempted to buy seeing their irresistible prices and good quality product images.
When I checked their website, I noticed that there were huge discounts offered for majority of their products and most of them were offered at a price range of Rs. 500. Since winter had started, I had already plans to buy a couple of sweatshirts and jackets. When I saw that the same was offered for a lesser price here when compared to other e-clothing stores like Myntra, Jabong I thought of placing an order with them. Moreover, they had this attractive Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer for Men's Jacket which tempted me even more to place an order.
I opted for online payment as there was a flat 20% discount offered for HDFC debit card users. Though the delivery estimation given was 6-8 days, I received my order after nearly two weeks. Packaging looked plain and standard, unlike what you get from Amazon and Flipkart. Anyway, I was more anxious about the product quality than the packaging itself.
As I feared, the product material was quite thin and of very low quality.
Moreover, they send me only one jacket and did not include the free one. After multiple calls and requests, I finally got the free jacket after waiting for another three weeks. But frankly speaking, all this unnecessary trouble we had to go though was not even worth it.
I don't think I'd ever place an order with them again in future after seeing the terrible quality of their products, even if they give me for free. Also, I'd never recommend their services to anyone especially when there are so many other better options available.
