Necessity is the mother of all invention or shall I say in todays world competition from your competitor is the main reason that force people to introduce new things and machine.
Here in case of Escorts Yamaha the later was the reason to launch Yamaha RX135 because Hero Honda was trying to snatch the market share completely from Yamaha by introducing new product every year.
But alas! the change for Yamaha135 from Yamaha100 proved to be too costly for them as RX135 was nowhere near the class of RX100. The main reason for the sucess of RX100 was its pick up speed and low maintenance cost, whereas the RX135 failed severly to match the Pickup speed of RX100 and also the maintenance cost of RX135 is also high with people complaining of breakdown of the bike within six months of purchase itself.
In this case I think myself to be the biggest loser because I sold off my RX100 to get RX135 thinking that as it is from Yanaha the bike will be as good as RX100, but to my disblief it's not even 10% of Rx100 in any department be it mileage or the alignment of the Chasis.
The worst thing Escort Yamaha did was they completely stop the production of Rx100 thinking that the new products by them will be as sucessfull as RX100.
After all the trouble I went through after purchasing this bike NEVER NEVER NEVER I would recommend this bike to any sensible person
