I have owned Yamaha crux since 04/01/2006. I used to ride my bike with originality. Once I had a wonderful chance to rides 370 km in a day, on that day I rode minimum speed of 70 KPH and above. Even though, I never experienced any engine problem at such a high speed.
My top speed of my bike is 95-100 KPH(this 100 KPH would reach when the road is stretch?), even at very high speed I’ve enough confident on my bike to stop since Yamaha used old type twin frame chassis and rear swing arm which gives me good confidence & comfort to apply sudden break and it helps do sports cornering in any road/whether condition. I’m dam sure you can fell good and comfort bike in this economic segment.
Yamaha Crux gives you, economic pickup. As I mentioned breaking and control always awesome even in wet road(I used Ceat tyres for front and rear wheels for better grip). I would like to tell you about the mileage since this bike is an economic bike so I would like to share in depth about mileage. The bike gives(new bike) 85 KMPL when used to drive between 40-50 KM speed(for me it’s really hard and even many bike riders too) and if speed is more than 70+ KM then mileage end up around 64 KM.
I believe that I’ve enough experience to tell you the below information, Tips to maintenance:-( keep mint & good condition),
1) Every 1500km change the engine oil(Yamaha lube).
2) Do check battery water level for every 3000km. Please note if you are not cover miles soon than please check one month once.
3) Every 9000 km change the spark plugs. I used to change with “NGK” spark plug.
4) I’ll change clutch plat’s every 30000km for better ride and during the change will replace complete clutch springs set too, which gives new bike clutch feel .
5) Do regularly air pressure check? I will tell you why need to check air pressure if you not check the air pressure it will reduce the tube lifetime as well it lead tube joint week, to avoid riding discomfort? Please do some basic things(like lubricate chain).
Negatives about Crux(Just what I feel I share with you):
1) Would be better if Yamaha enhance petrol gage meter.
Positive about Crux(:-)
1) As day to day use Yamaha Crux is best bike in this segment.
2) Comfort riding.
3) Good mileage in this segment.
4) Maintenance is cheap.
5) Rear pillion rider more happy while riding as this seat is plain/straight.
