NEW BREED OF ACTION HERO. Review on XXX Movie

“The new kid on the block…

The only latest Hollywood movie, which has excited me in the current months apart from Matrix – Reloaded, is the Vin Diesel Starrer Tripple XXX. I was really eager to watch this movie and I had not interest in watching the pirated version, hence I kept waiting till it go released in the theatres.

Finally, I got a chance of watching Triple XXX and the new breed of James Bond arising from the woods of the LA. Though in recent times, lot of mockery has been done of Spy movies, like the Austin Powers, Ever forgetful, spy kid (They had the guts to release even the Sequeal to it) but as I expected Triple XXX has to be different and indeed my waiting game played well for me as I got one of the best entertainer of the recent times.

TRIPLE XXX..

Like most of the non-film buff, if you tell them that you are watching triple xxx, they would have interesting and weird ideas and why not the name is really a hot one. But I had seen the trailers and I very well knew what I am going to get.

Hence, this bond like thriller stars (Vin Diesel) as Triple XXX, who is chosen for a mission. The movie starts with Vin Diesel (Triple XXX, Xander Cage) a local , a hot-shot extreme-sports expert, who has the letters XXX tattooed on the back of his neck and who is against the senator who is against the heavy rock generation. Hence, in the opening sequence XXX steals senator's Corvette, runs it off a bridge and then, standing on top of the car while it does a huge free fall, ''surfs'' all the way down before he finally parachutes off of it at the last second. WOW!! This is what I was waiting for the amazing stunts and man Diesel does have a real cool attitude.

Obviously, after making this dare devil stunt public, he is on the most wanted list and is expecting any time jail, but he is being called by Augustus Gibbons ( Samuel L Jackson.) a totally scared faced, a la M from James Bond from the National Security Agency, who would better send a criminal to the enemy camp then send a NSA officer. Before getting his first assignment he is given some test, which he easily excels. Now XXX assignment is to go undercover a Russian Crime Ring, (Heavy rock and drug criminal with lots of tattoo), Which is being run by Ex-russian Army Commander named Yorgi (marton Csokas) and also getting close to his mistress Yelena(Asia Argento).

His job is made easier because his close resemblance of the tattooed body and the heavy yanky accent, which makes identify as an outlaw. Yorig heads a group called Anarchy 99, an underground operation that is to create total devastation and mayhem. Hence, now XXX’s duty is get down to the rinse of the operation and get the know how, of what is happening. During this course lot of surprises is expected, (Which I wouldn’t want to reveal).

Then what starts is total action and drama with most amazing stunts you would have ever seen.

Rob Cohen's had earlier directed Vin Diesel in the fast car movie, “The Fast and the Furious” and he didn’t think twice of getting Vin in this new role as the undercover agent. Rob Cohen’s direction is very good and he has really brought great action in a amazing manner. Though, this movie would be often compared to the James Bond flick, one can say that a new breed of Action hero has come to Hollywood.

In spite of its concept a James Bond take over, Tripple XXX makes its own niche, with its typical Yankee style dialogues, the Tattoos, the heavy metal rock music, this cant be any way compared to James Bond, who is more of a Armani Worn, undercover agent, driving a BMW, and with a more polished accent suited to a class of people. But James Bond has always been the favorites of many including me, I enjoyed this new style of bond, as something’s are common, the Amazing Gadgets,loads of action and the Bikini Clad Beauties.

Who cares for a serious plot when you have so much action? Hence, remove the concept of plot and get moving with the action.

Hence, expect the unexpected and enjoy this movie, I might watch it again, twice is as good as Once. Also, a new breed of Action star is born and Vin Diesel is here to stay.
