According to Indian medical association,
Quacks can be divided amongst three basic categories as under:
Quacks with no qualification whatsoever.
Practitioners of Indian Medicine(Ayurvedic, Sidha, Tibb, Unani), Homeopathy, Naturopathy, commonly called Ayush, who are not qualified to practice Modern Medicine(Allopathy) but are practicing Modern Medicine.
Practitioners of so called integrated Medicine, Alternative System of Medicine, electro-homeopathy, indo-allopathy etc. terms which do not exist in any Act.
There is acute lack of awareness amongst State Governments, the legislature(s), judiciary and even doctors themselves regarding threat to nation’s health from quackery and about non-entitlement of practitioners of Indian Medicine who are practicing Modern Medicine.
The intention of writing this honest and unbiased review is for the reader to make a well informed decision and not get carried away emotionally. There are many quacks out there to fleece you taking advantage of your emotional vulnerability regarding your health/loved one’s health
Review on Xulon Zoe Lifestyle Health Retreat/ Review on True Health Wellness center
P.S. Apparently the owner runs this fraud naturopathy hospital with different names: TrueHealth Wellness Center, InHealth wellness retreat, xulon zoe health retreat. All are the same and refer to the same physical entity.
Paduvai Road, Mathur Village, Thanjavur Dist. PIN: 614206, Tamil Nadu India
I have been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5 and am on medication and dialysis from May 2022.
I had approached Xulon Zoe Health Retreat center who made promises and tall claims about CKD reversal, I was at this center from September 19 2022 to Dec 13th 2022, This was my experience:
1) CKD is a terminal disease and most patents on medication are recomended to undergo dialysis and transplant. There are many quacks operating who take advantage of such a mental state of patient and siphon off money. In my experience I found Mr. Joti Prem Shanker(JPS) at Xulon zoe health care retreat center as one such quack,
2) The owner does not hold medical degree of any kind and still makes bombastic and exaggerated claims about terminal disease reversal.
3) The place is located in a remote area with the nearest hospital 15kms away. The center has no emergency handling equipment such as oxygen masks, oxygen cylinders, on call nurse, doctor in residence. These are basic facilities you will find on research at every ayurveda, naturopathy center which charges you close to Rs 15000/week
3) The owner is not a doctor but rather a self proclaimed expert or at best a quack. He is away from the place 3 days in a week. When you have patients dealing with chronic terminal diseases such as CKD, cancer it is imperative that there is a resident doctor 24 by 7
4) In his absence, show is run by Rosalyn, an untrained and unqualified nurse. What are you paying for? To be treated with an idiot like Rosalyn
5) The owner is desperate about fees being paid and keeps insisting on it all the time
6) The treatment is not under insurance coverage and does not follow any AYUSH guidance or protocols.
7) The claims about CKD reversal, creatine control, cancer remission are exaggerated and false. While there is temporary relief, most patients end up with increased creatinine, higher Blood pressure and Sugar once they return home. Clearly there is something wrong in the protocol. THIS IS A SERIOUS RED FLAG- there are many patients whose condition has worsened and the owner can get away without being accountable
8) The owner is high handed and arrogant once the payment is done. HE DOES NOT SPEND ENOUGH time with patients to ensure proper healing
9)Despite charging high fees @ 15000 per week plus Rs 10000 on plant enzymes, the staff is not paid on time, The staff is then grumpy and arrogant with the customers,
10) There is no written protocol for CKD reversal. Treatment seems random and makes us think if JPS knows what he is doing.
11 Most of the online articles are paraphrased from journals and do not contain any meaningful insights. The owner is a glib talker and a pretender without in depth subject knowledge.
12) It is also dubious that the owner ONLY accepts payments in personal name and not on business name WITHOUT ANY RECEIPTS/INVOICES. Apparently, the business is registered but to evade taxes he indulges in such transactions.
13.Apparently the Xulon Zoe Health Retreat Center is renamed as True Health wellness Center and address is changed to First street, Green Land, Pasupathikoil, Tamil Nadu 614206.The owner earlier had a center in Pondicherry which shut down…You can guess from reasons depicted below
14 On posting this honest review, I had received a call with an emotional threat that the curse will return to you etc. I choose to stick to my decision and review and not buckle under any emotional blackmail.
15 Apparently now They are accepting only simple cases such as Diabetes reversal, Hypertension reversal etc. for such treatments, there are much better centers across India and a lot of available information available online. I personally recommend Dr Khadar Vali, (millet man of India, Padmashree awardee). The Joker mentioned frequently here claims him to be his competitor:)
Dubious qualification as a nutritionist: The owner stated his qualification in nutrition from IGNOU university and some random courses in YALE university. on deeper research, ANYONE CAN DO THESE COURSES FOR FREE OR NOMINAL CHARGES FROM open education platforms. THAT DOES NOT MAKE
THE OWNER A QUALIFIED NUTRITIONIST.
It is better to avoid such place especially when it comes to health matters. Leave it to your discretion
