I am writing this review this review after using xolo q800 from last two years. now I am using nubia z9 mini and retire my xolo q800 and give it to my younger sister. I purchased it in October 2013 from flipkart at 8999. when I purchase it it was starting for smartphones and many of the companies comes in the field of mobile such as lenove, lava, karbon, micromax etc. at that time xolo was not well known brand. my budget was only 10000/- and in tten thousand xolo provide a great specification at that time. The mobile was equipped with 8 MP primary camera which was really stunning.
At that time one GB ram was sufficient. xolo q800 comes with 1 gb of ram and 4 gb of internal memory. the main function which I like in this phone was you can transfer the applications to internal storage to sd card. The GPU works well. I played subway surf without any lag. while the same game was running in samsung galaxy core with a huge lagging. the other feature which I like the most that the display is quard HD but its sharpness and PPI is much more then the normal phones coming now a days. I dont remember its PPI exactly but I am sure it was above 294 PPI.
The pics taken by xolo changed my mind about the brand. when I purchased my phone it was only smartphone in between me and my two roommates. and the was running 12 to 16 hours in a day. at this level the do not create any problem. it was lag free. there was no heating problem. now two and a half years pasts but battery backup is reduced in significant manner. In starting it lasts for one and a half day but now it lasts for 12 to 15 hours. I think it is a better performance after 2.5 years. after my experiance of xolo q800 my brother purchased xolo q1010, my friend purchase xolo q1100 and I purchase xolo play for my father. A the phones are working very well.
At present in 8999 you may get a much more powerful phone then xolo q800. I write this review just for awair the people about xolo. The company is good. the only problem is about customer support. but it is not any major problem because If you use xolo then you need not to go service centers if you keeps your mobile softely.
