I write this review after using Xiaomi mi4i. I purchased this mobile from flipkart but the mobile is also available in many online stores.
I brought this mobile for 11999 in flipkart sale. based on my experience of 5 months I am writing this review. first off all what you will find in the new seal pack.
You will find a phone and a charger with it. there is no accessories with phone like screen guard, back cover, earphone, Bluetooth etc. only sim ejector is included in this pack. now come on the mobile. the phone is very slim and build quality is good.
Plastic is used in back cover which is non removable. the 5 inch display is good. sharpness is not so high but you may get a sufficient sharpness to work well even in day light. the main thing about display is it is 441 ppi full HD. which make it awesome. the touch is very smooth and silky. it works well even with a little wet hands.but the bad thing about display is that there in no any glass protection is given in this. however company clams that it gives scratch resistance glass I told you as I feel. the user interface is also good. now comes some imp features. This phone has some pre installed applications which is a little annoying.
The processor used is snapdragon 615. which provides a lag free experience. but phone lag a little bit some time. snapdragon 615 emits a lots of heat. but that is because bad optimization of OS with hardware. but xiaomi provide a software update for it. after it the heating issue is completely resolved.
The two GB ram is sufficient for multitasking. most of the times you may get 500-600 GB of ram free. Now comes on the important point battery backup. the battery back up is good as I experienced.I used wi-fi 2 to 3 hours countously and the battery drops from 63% to 45%. the battery lasts for one and a half hour for moderate user and one day for heavy user.
Now comes on camera section. In this sector xiaomi rooks. 13 MP rear and 5mp front camera really good. it takes very good pics in day light. but in low light the pictures become a little noisy. but the overall camera section is best. Very important. But now a days in Rs 12999 you may get a very strong phones like Le 1s, lenovo K4 note. etc. so I recommended you to look around the market for new phones this price range.
