I had a chance to see two movie in the last week one being The Perfect Storm and the other X-Men. X-Men is an adaptation based on a comic series of 60s. X-men is a rare movie with the rousing and crowd-pleasing special effects with the meaningful heroic characters struggling to save themselves and of course the world too!

X-Men is one of the best comic-book series to be adapted for the big screen successful after a decade or so. The movie has some of dazzling entertainment and the plot is simple and effective. The director has in fact done the justice to the comic by maintaining the spirit of the comic character with a fine finish.

The movie is about to take place in the near future, where genetic mutations leads to exhibit the superhuman powers in human beings. Movie kick-start with a plight of Jews from the Hilter's World, where a kid gets separated by the Soldiers from his parents, when he displays his rare superhuman skill by breaking the Iron gate into two.

Now the actual movie is being with a spooky narration by Patrick Stewart briefly explaining the basic concept behind the X-Men and says the superhuman power can be used for good purpose. It happens to be the American Presidential Election Year and a candidate named Senator Kelly is running for the Presidentship and promises the crowd that he would weed out the X-Men's from the public sight if he is elected as President.

Meanwhile cut short to another scene, Rogue is a teenage girl with a rare kind of gift, ok, rather say it as a problem, she can't touch any person, if touched they would lie down dead in a minute, which makes Rogue impossible to date anyone. After one such date, Rogue gets frustrated with herself and heads to a no-man's land in Canada. While on way, she meets another confused soul named Logan. Now Logan's has a rare gift too where his body tissue's heals any wound on his body in seconds, more to this he is his body is made up of indestructible metal which is completely retractable, razor-sharp claws, grafted onto his skeleton.

After Rogue and Logan get to know each other they find themselves fighting the evil with Professor Charles (Patrick Stewart) and the X-Men, Professor's band of mutants. The professor has a rare gift too where he finds out kids with rare gifts to be trained in his mutant academy which is cleverly disguised as a private boarding school. Professor who is involved in the good vs. evil battle has to find out a way to finish the evil mutants who wants to takeover the world in their control. Now it is up to the X-Men's to save the world from this evil mutants.

The movie is of an average rating but the movie make it a viewable because of its special effects implemented into every character available in the screenplay. You will see characters with different rare gifts churning out there skills to bring out that fantastic effects on the screen like Storm, whose special powers involves manipulating the weather. Mystique who can taken any form she chooses too, Toad who can burn anything with his laser eyes.

X-men is certainly not a wonderful movie which would go down into the Hollywood history but a smart action movie after quite a long time.
