I agree with Onabreak2 that watching so-called ''professional wrestling'' programs is harmful to children and these programs bear little resemblance to the actual sport. While anyone with even a little common sense knows that what appears to happen in the ring is not really happening, children are impressionable and tend to see the wrestlers as invincible heroes--heroes who settle their problems by using violence, trickery and revenge tactics.
Children get nothing constructive from these shows, in my opinion. Maybe if we wanted them to learn how to be violent and verbally abusive this would be the way to go. But, since this is not the way we ''say'' we want our society to operate, why glorify adults acting this way? Are these the types of people we want our children to look up to?
These wrestling programs may be multi-million dollar enterprises but they are in no way profitable to our society.
