I paid the membership fees in 2003 for woodrose (woodrust) club. when the club became functional in 2006/2007, they circulated bye-laws and I wrote to woodrose club saying that I do not accept the byelaws and asked for the refund of my membership fees along with interest. It is over 6 years now and brigade is not forthcoming to return the membership fees that I paid. they are giving some lame reasons saying the bye laws do not allow cancellation of the membership or refund.
While I have not agreed to their laws and clearly given a written notice saying that I do not agree to their bye laws, not using the club and asking for the refund of membership fees, I do not know how this bye laws will be applicable on those who have not signed up on the bye-laws.
If there are other in this forum, who are interested in cancellation of their membership and facing difficulties with woodrose, I suggest we can form a group and take on brigade/woodrose legally. If you are interested, please email me at rpadmana@hotmail.com.
