''The leather that weathers'' (Thank you PrashD for that helpful correction)is how I believe this product is advertised.
Woodland shoes range from Rs.600 and go on upwards to anywhere to Rs.1500.
Strong and sturdy is what comes to mind when I think of these shoes. Totally reliable in all weathers, though they do tend to get a bit stiff after a good walk in the rain! And I have walked these shoes in a lot of rains.
These are not your average dress shoes i.e. they are not meant to be elegant and for use with a pretty dress. Not these shoes! No way! They are for the great outdoors and make good footwear for jeans, Capris and such like. Therefore, there isn't much choice of styles and can look quite ugly to some.
I would not give these a very high rating on comfort(But then I have odd feet). When they say tough, they don't really mention the fact that the leather is also tough. They soften a bit after a couple of wears, but well, to each his own feet.
Woodland shoes are really durable. I bought mine in 1997 and they are still going strong. The heel is worn out though Probably with the way I walk anyway!
The choice is yours.Your feet tell you the truth, Listen to them!
