Chal Chale Apane Ghar... The Parveen - Mahesh saga. Review on Woh Lamhe

"Woh Lamhe" is one of the 2006 released movie which I really liked a lot because of different story and good music. The film is based on relationship between Mahesh Bhatt and Parveen Babi. The story is very much different from regular love stories and it is having various shades of the relationship.

Cast:

The cast of Woh Lamhe is newer one. The cast is very fresh. The main characters are

Aditya Garewal(Shiney Ahuja),

Sana Azmi(Kangana Ranaut),

Nikhil(Shaad Randhawa),

Sam(Purab Kohli),

Rani(Masumi Makhija).

Plot:

The story starts like this. Famous  actress Sana Azim(Kangana Ranaut) cuts her wrists in a hotel room. She makes a suicide attempt. Aditya Garewal(Shiney Ahuja) gets a call from a reporter about this news. He went to the hospital to see her. She is in ICU. He went to back days when he & Sana were together. He was in search of Sama from last three years, who was disappeared from his life and when he founf her, she is on very bad condition.

Sana is settled in bollywood and livinf with Nikhil. Nikhil is one who has brought Sana at this level using her talent and beauty. He is with Sana only because she is having money and fame. He is fixing her every appointment. Sana is happy with her success and enjoying her life but at some level she is feeling that she ia fake. It is not the thing she want to do in her life. She want to do some good roles. Aditya is a new director who wants Sana to be part of his film. He try to convince her that she is fake and she has lost her originality. Sana creates scene in the party. Nikhil is very angry on her. Nikhil brings her to home and rapes her. Sana leaves her home and comes

to Aditya for help. Aditya gives her place to stay. She becoms ready to work in his first film. Sana also

finds that this is the man who can fulfill her dream.

While working with Aditya, Sana realizes that she is in love with him. They come closer

but soon Aditya realizes that he should not be in love with her. But soon he realizes that he is also in love with her. Sana played the role of both, lover and mentor to a struggling Aditya. Both are in deep love with each other. Their movie becomes big success. Everything is going perfect.

On one day, Rani(Masumi Makhija) come in the picture. Rani is virtually present all the time around Sana. She is not existing. Actually Sana suffers from a disease called Schizophrenia

(A person experiencing untreated schizophrenia is typically

characterized as demonstrating disorganized thinking and as

experiencing delusion). Sana tells this to Aditya. Aditya is in deep love with Sana. He come to know that Sana is suffering from a serious disease and the only way left to save Sana is to take her away from the world of Bollywood. They live in a house away from this crowdy world. He used to take care of her.

But suddenly on one day, she disappears from his life leaving him alone. He tries to find her alot but failed. He lives his life with the best moments they have spent together. Then comes the end ofthe movie, where Sana dies in the hospital.

*Performance:

*     The team of Woh Lamhe is newer and fresh one. Kangna Ranaut's performance is very good. She gets role of her lifetime. She is the central character of the movie. Shiney Ahuja's performance is also good. His performance is improving film by film. I liked his performance in Gangster too. Shaad Randhawa has done impressive work in his debut film. He is having very small role but he has done it very impressively. Purab Kohli has also done suparb work as Aditya's friend.Masumi Makhija who has done role as

Rani, Kangana's'hallucination', is first-rate. Her look and her dark

makeup ignite the screen every time she appears.

*Direction:

*     Mohit Suri has done very good job. After Zeher and Kalyug, Woh Lamhe is very impressive work. Now I am fan of Mohit Suri's direction.

*Music:

*The music of the Woh Lamhe is one of the hits of 2006. All the songs are very good. I just love all the songs. The music is very soft.'Kya Mujhe Pyaar

Hai' is a big hit. I just love this song. Very good lyrics and meaningful song. The hit songs of Woh Lamhe are,

About my experience while watching this movie:

Woh Lamhe is a film very difficult to make. The story is very different. The story is very complicated and the director has done a very good job. There are many sequences which are directed very well. The scenes between Shiney and Kangana are very good. I like the performance by all the actors. Kangana and Shiney are impressive. I like all the songs. Overall Woh Lamhe is a well-made emotional film.

Watch this movie for a different story, music and performance.
