Hi I just called up whirlpool service - CN0913042410 to set right my whirlpool ice-magic f26 dlx steel fridge which was not cooling properly.The service person came and touched the back compressor and it was too hot so he told I have to change the compressor and it would cost Rs 6200 for the compressor + gas filling.
I told him that I have to think over it and he just took the customer satisfaction code from me and the service charge of rs280 for doing nothing and went away.He told me to keep the fridge switched off till I changed the compressor.I turned on the fridge after some time and seems to be cooling little now.
Are these service people really bothered about the product or the consumer, or only about taking the money and the customer satisfaction code and doing nothing.Never expected this from a leading brand....pathetic and reckless customer service.
