I’m sharing my recent experience with Whirlpool.
I recently purchased a refrigerator from Flipkart, the product got delivered in time, actually it was delivered late by a day, but that’s acceptable. Flipkart had assigned an engineer for installation and demo of the product who arrived very next day. On unboxing the product we found it had scratches on the outer shell and the door tube seemed to be coming off also the small tires at the bottom were damaged. The product overall looked used, it was a double door refrigerator and the upper deck clearly has used marks.
Referring to the above I contacted Flipkart to inform them about the issue and ask them for a replacement, but they could only take it back and provide a refund as the retailer wasn’t allowing replacements. But, the Flipkart executive informed me that I could directly contact Whirlpool and get it replaced from them. So, I called the Whirlpool help line number provided to me. The agent who answered the call was really nice he helped me and told me that I do not have to worry about this and that the product would be replaced all I had to do is call the service center number that he gave me which was nearby my house.
I called Agarwal Whirlpool Service Centre from khatipura, Jaipur. A lady answered and she was really rude she had no idea of what she was talking and then she clearly denies any services saying that she could not raise a ticket or apply for a replacement as there was no electricity at their place. Not taking her attitude personally, I politely asked whether I need to call back later to file a complaint, without listening to me she immediately hung up. Then shockingly I received a call from her after 2 hours, she said that she can check in her reports that the guy who came for the demo and installation at my place had already applied for a replacement, listening to her I immediately replied that I have already applied for the refund at flipkart.
She immediately took it as an opportunity to again deny the service by saying that she will have to check again if the replacement is possible and soon hung up the call. I was literally pissed at this, she called back within 10 mins and said that we will not be able to replace your product you can ask for a refund for which I replied that I’ll take this to Whirlpool and guess what she didn’t care a bit and said you can do that.
Now here I’m pissed at your employee’s attitude towards their customer. I could easily get a refund and then buy it again but this process could have been way easier for both the ends.
Pathetic experience.
