I used to be a big fan of WhatsApp. It was my go-to messaging app for years. But in recent months, I've been increasingly disappointed with the way the company has been handling things.
My main issue is with the customer service. I've had two separate occasions where my account was banned without warning. The first time, I was able to get it sorted out after a few days of back-and-forth emails. But the second time, I've been trying to get my account reinstated for over a week now, and I've still heard nothing back.
I've also been frustrated with the lack of new features. WhatsApp seems to be content to rest on its laurels, while other messaging apps like Telegram and Signal are constantly adding new features.
Finally, I'm concerned about the way WhatsApp is handling user data. In 2021, WhatsApp announced that it would be sharing user data with its parent company, Meta. This has raised serious privacy concerns, and I'm not sure if I can trust WhatsApp with my data anymore.
Overall, I'm very disappointed with the way WhatsApp has been going downhill in recent months. I used to be a loyal user, but I'm not sure if I can recommend it anymore.
