Story:

Nobody really understands what god wants. We all follow religious scribes without much question in fear of punishment from a superior being that hails in the heavens. This book talks about 'societal' apprehensions we have to homosexuality, marriage and sex. How we in the 'name of god' wage wars on other countries and kill people because of their racial differences. In this book Walsch believes that the adoption of new ideas regarding God and Life is not about the rejection or abandonment of traditional religious teaching, but an expansion. His call is to refresh and reinvigorate religion. He points out an example of a spiritual movement within Islam which has already happened. It’s called the Sufi movement and in Sufism the declaration, There is no god but God, has now changed to, There is nothing but God, which is a neat one sentence summary about the new spirituality. People who are in tune with spiritualty will simply read this book with and nod after what they have read, others maybe laugh at it because they are to involved in their own religious beliefs and others may be left confused. After I finished this book I have come to learn that my life in this world is useless. What I mean by that is that I, as an individual could not stop the war in iraq. This book helps you realize that as an individual nothing in this life works. This book brought out a carelessness in me, for my life and what this world has to offer me. May be i'm taking this book way to heavily on myself, but after reading what humanity is living with and what we really believe in, it really makes me sad and disheartened to be a part of this race called humanity. I suggest everyone read this book and put religion aside for once, lets make up a religion which shows us how to get along. ''We are our own destroyers''.
