THE ongoing war on Iraq cannot be justified under any circumstances. It is a campaign being waged because of greed for Iraqi oil. Its aim is not to eliminate purported doomsday weapons, as is being said. One of the consequences of this war will be greater US dominance over the region through Israel and the weakening of power of the rest of the countries of the region.
The present US administration is only trying to colonise Iraq. Their claims about having come only to destroy Iraq's WMD was all rubbish. Earlier news of the finding of a chemical factory has now vanished from the media, proving that it was nothing more than a mere concoction.
The US blocked the Al Jazeera television's web site and has even kicked them out of the New York Stock Exchange - showing how deep their hatred towards them was. Hackers have blocked the Al Jazeera web site so that those residing in America do not find out what is actually happening in Iraq.
Bush and Blair don't want democracy in the region. Their goal is to gain access to, and take control of the natural resource of the oil-rich countries. Halliburton drills some of the present Iraqi oil - an oil company owned by Dick Cheney. That should be enough to understand why the war is being fought.
