Purchase and Installation -Smooth.
Just a couple of weeks ago when the flipkart electronics sale was on and the TV was available for as low as Rs. 13871 after a straight 10% cut on Axis Bank Debit Card. The deal was too mouthwatering to resist and I grabbed this opportunity with both hands. The tv was delivered to me after 3 days in a time slot chosen by me and was wall installed the very next day by vu, promptly.
First Impressions .
My mind immediately started to compare it with Micromax 32B200HDi 81 cm(32) LED TV that I had brought again off flipkart, around the same time of the last year at 15999.
I thought this TV was a Tad better in build quality(though nothing premium or eye catchy) and bezel thickness was a lot thinner. Micromax had taken a good 5 days to come for a demo and installation Vu just
- The remote quality with VU was a lot better than it was with micromax. While that has 1 usb and 2 hdmi ports, this one had one more of each @ usb x 2 HDmi x 3 plus VGA Input: VGA(640 x 480 / 60 Hz)
Display .
The display is decent @Refresh Rate of 60 Hz and the skin tones are natural, the colors reproduced are quite close to the actual objects, the lg's and sony's though will give you better colours and in most cases better refresh rates as well .
The resolution seems a bit low and the text quality is a bit jagged, but its after all an HD ready TV(1366x 768 pixels), I think micromax which though again is an HD ready TV is better in this regards but had poor skin tones .
The viewing angles @(Horiz / Vert) [Degrees] 178° / 178° are not any issue. Overall, I would say the display is quite decent . Its after all an ultra - budget product .
Media playback:
Every format I played audio or video worked well .
Sound:
The company claims that the sound quality is so good you wont even need any external speaker but I thought at high volumes the sound starts to crack and I do feel the need for an external speaker for sure even though following specs is what you get out of the box
Speaker Output RMS 6W+ 6 W
Number of Speakers: 2
Ease of mounting and unmounting
The TV comes with a wall vesa mount that's quite compact and its very easy to self install it if you own a drilling machine, like Bosch GSB 500 RE I always keep at home, VU will anyways do it for you. The mounting and unmounting is very easy and can be done by just 1 person, the tv weights around 6 kilos only while the thick bezel micromax was a massive 1 kilo more and the wall mounting is a 2 man job, apart from being tedious .
Ease of reaching your ports
Its as easy to reach the USB ports on the left hand side of the bezel as its tedious to reach the hdmi ports at the rear(if wall mounted) and you will need to unmount the TV to attach the hdmi devices unless are you using an addition hdmi extension cable .
Power consumption:
Is just 50w at 240V

Verdict:
This one weights a lot lesser, draws lesser power and delivers more than its counterpart Micromax 32B200HDi 81 cm(32) LED TV
Those on Budget should consider this Tv before any other
