WORST after sales service. Issue with the product: AC not cooling properly. Its still under warranty(compressor warranty).
Minor ISSUES with the service from company:
1.No response from technician after numerous calls to the customer care.
2.First technician came WITHOUT any tools. Did not touch the product, still took 350rs visiting charges and told us to get gas refilled by a local shop who will charge lesser than the company.
3.The customer care executive did not know the charges of refilling of gas and told us that only a technician can tell us.
MAJOR ISSUES with the service from company:
1.2 technicians came, one said there was gas in the AC and the other one said there wasn't any. But both said that while repairing / replacing the under warranty compressor, the gas will get leaked and we will have to pay for it. MY POINT: IF MY UNDER WARRANTY AC HAS GAS WHICH GETS LEAKED DURING REPAIR THEN WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR IT? WHAT KIND OF FREE UNDER WARRANTY REPAIR IS THIS?
2.Prices quoted to us for refilling of gas:
a)1st technician: 3500rs.
b)2nd technician: 2850rs.
c)1st CCE: she doesn't know. d) 2nd CCE: 1500rs. MY POINT: IF BOTH THE TECHNICIANS AND THE CCEs ARE REPRESENTING VOLTAS THEN HOW CAN THE PRICES BE DIFFERENT? THE REPLY OF THE TECHNICIAN TO THE PRICE DIFFERENCE WAS THAT COMPANY DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING; THEY QUOTE VAGUE PRICES.
3.Its been three days since the 2nd technician has visited and took 350rs visiting charges from us but still hasn't got the AC collected from our place; leave alone, repairing it. MY POINT: WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR, THE SUMMERS TO END OR THE WARRANTY TO FINISH?
If voltas has outsourced technicians or have some tie up with local shops, then it must maintain a few standards. I hope someone from VOLTAS will look into the matter ASAP and will get back to me with a proper solution.
