I purchased the Voltas 1.2 Ton 5 star 155 CY Split Air-Conditioner on 28th April 2016. This was a gift for my parents to beat the summer heat. The summer is over but my painful ordeal is not. I was told Voltas product is good but service is horrible, I should have listened them.
• The AC delivered on 4th May.
• My trouble started to get the Voltas installation person to arrive home. After 5 days of non-stop calling the careless customer care, I realized that they would not come.
• Without a choice I reached out to a local vendor and got my ACs installed
• Immediately we realized that the AC gets switched off within 5 minutes, irrespective of the Temperature set, the installation guy asked me to contact Voltas service and left.
• I registered a complaint – Complaint number 16051013896
• As of now 16th May, my AC still is still dysfunctional. They assure a 24 working hour service. I have followed up with the customer care 4 times to hear the routine lines.
I still can’t comment on the quality of the AS as it not working. But if you think installation and service is not a major reason to choose, welcome to my club. This opinion has been echoed by several people who choose Voltas depending on the TATA brand value and end up being frustrated like me. Only the cold air from the AC can cool the fire in my butt, but don’t know when that’s going to happen.
