I left my car for routine service, repairs, Body job [multiple repairs both paid and a claim against insurance on VW workshop Gwalior on 31/August/2022]
I was told that the said jobs would be done and completed by 10 days and a max of 14 days, and if possible earlier. I enquired on 07/09/2022 and was told it would be ready in 2-3 days. Thereby, I approached the Workshop on Monday, 12/09/2022; but was told it would take another couple of days.
Dubious, I visited the Workshop on 12/Sept/2022 just to find my car lying there untouched and no work carried out. I enquired from the mechanic he said on job card only bonnet paint job is mentioned and no other.
- I enquired about the claims filed by the Bajaj Allianz Agent, none was available, and there was no explanation of the claim, when I had asked for a claim of bonnet and right side why the same was turned down.
- I tried to contact the VW Workshop manager, as well as the VW showroom in charge, but no one was available to attend to me and I was safely turned away after formality phone calls and an assurance that the same will take another week to be delivered, as no mechanic is available and one more week will be needed to carry out the said job.
Annoyed with the behaviour I asked the Workshop executive to hand back the car on 13/09/2022 afternoon after routine service as it seems that the nexus is not in a condition to carry out the desired repairs. Since it had been almost a fortnight and there were no visible signs that the required jobs will ever be carried out and nor the attitude of both the insurance agent as well as workshop team appeared to be responsible enough.
I called at Bajaj Allianz helpline number [after trying to contact the surveyor number which went unanswered, I then tried to connect help line number too a multiple times] to cancel the claim filed as it seems that it cannot be honoured, but didn’t get a positive response.
It is a breach of faith for a customer to find that after years of association with a company having faith in their services, they are blatantly unwilling to provide the services he has paid and/or purchased. The company needs to answer:
• First, have that Bajaj Allianz and VW entered in a nexus to deny the service that they are expected to? As the insurance agent was unable to understand the nature of the work required and seemed to be unwilling to entertain the claim at the time I dropped the car, and seemingly worked to dishonour the same.
• Second, is Volkswagen too ignorant to understand the importance of customer and to take up any corrective measure and attend the customer? It seems they have decided to dump the old customers and are interested in alluring the new buyers and do not seem to value services.
When I bought the car in 2014 they had staff at Gwalior service centre and appeared busy. Now the Showroom as well as Workshop is empty with no regular labour and no service. All they do is turn away customers.
