(update of April 2006 - I find Customer services at Hutch have improved to a very large extent... they have made facilities for feedback about customer care agents)

I was sleeping after my night duty.... at around 11 a.m. I got a call on my mobile... since I was deep sleep I did not bother to check whose call it was and I took the phone half asleep.
hutch rep:hello sir...my name ''''... I am calling from hutch telecom... which connection do u have sir... prepaid or postpaid?
me: prepaid.
hutch rep: why dont you take postpaid sir...
me: no... I am not interested.
hutch rep: do u know it is cheaper...to make calls from postpaid...
me: I make very less outgoing calls during day time... I make more sms.
hutch rep: sir then u should surely go for post paid.... how many sms do u make during a month?
me: around 400-500.
hutch rep: then you will spending 400-500 for sms itself per month@1Re. per sms, but in postpaid it is only 30ps plus you get 100 free sms.
me(smiling): it is not 1Re per sms on prepaid.
hutch rep: oh! then it must 60p.... it is only 30 ps per sms on postpaid...
me(laughing!): no it is only 30p per sms on prepaid.
(well am I working in hutch or is she! I wondered!)
hutch rep: oh! but sir you have to pay only Rs. 150/- rental per month.
me: I take Rs.1000/- recharge coupon so it I don't lose much in administrative charges.
hutch rep: but still you will get only Rs. 875/- on recharging for Rs.1000/- and that means you will lose Rs.250/- as administrative charges.
(when did 1000-875 be 250? she never studied maths I thought!)
me: anyway this time I recharged for Rs.1080/- and I got Rs. 1000/- talk time.
hutch rep: no it is not possible.
me: I got it because of the special offer.
hutch rep: what offer?! no there was never any offer. I work in hutch telecom if there was an offer I would have known. (oh! what about me who recharged and got Rs.1000/- talk time. I wondered !)
me: there was also offer where if I recharge for Rs. 2000/- I could have used it for 365 days.
hutch rep: is it?!
hutch rep:how long have you been using prepaid?
me: over an year. hutch rep: hey! why don't you take a post paid connection....JUST FOR A CHANGE !!!!........................................................!
