I got a message from Vodafone stating that they have fully upgraded network in my area. Really!
While they crib and spend millions of dollar suing Jio, I wish they did a little to improve their service, they provide to their Indian customers. I have an extremely bad network once I enter my house in HSR layout of Bengaluru. This is not a remote area and neither is Parel, Mumbai. Explicitly mentioning the 2 areas, as I along with the other Vodafone users have faced similar challenges.
They extort a huge sum for the services but when it comes to providing services, they provide the worst service possible.
I remember repeatedly complaining to their customer-care, when a representative gave me 40 bucks(to shut up!), rather than escalating the problems and coming up with resolution to the problem.
This attitude towards customers doesn't help the people taking their grandmother to hospitals in Parel(busy area) and stranding them just to walk 200-300 mtrs away in search of network to find a ride back home or just to attend every phone call, one has to step out of the house(trust me it's very frustrating and stressful).
I once got a legal notice for non-payment of postpaid dues which was a glitch from the Vodafone store who failed to update data. No one bothered to apologise, rather had me running back and forth to their store. To add to it they haven't returned my postpaid deposit of 400 till date. Unfortunately, the consumers in India have no time and money to report these service providers to consumer court, for which they keep taking us for granted.
