Guys I was using a postpaid number of vodafone (West Bengal Circle), It''s a matter of 7-8 months ago.
I can clearly remember that I was on a 199 monthly plan. however I can''t remember the exact plan details, like free minutes, free sms, free internet.
One day I heard about a plan of Rs. 344 that''ll give me 100 free sms per day, 300 minutes per day and 1GB of internet per day for 28 days. as that time I don''t have any 4G phone (to use Jio free offers) I have no other choice except buying the plan(Rs. 344 from Vodafone).
so I call vodafone customer care and ask them to activate the 344 plan, after some formal confirmation then do the same. Thats fine.
after 4 days suddenly I heard about the the jiofi (by Jio) and brought it for Rs. 1999/- after that I was able to use the jio free internet and calls services from my 3g phone(via jio 4g application, through jiofi). and then the vodafone 344 plan becomes a extra pocket load to me so I logged in to my vodafone account and request them to change my plan to 199, but it shows that that''s not possible from the application. so I called the customer care I ask them to do so and then they show their real face.
They told me that I have to pay the 344+tax amount(400 approx), as I have used this plan I asked them that as per your previous conversation you told me that it will be charged as Pro-rata billing( plan amount *Active days/ plan validity +tax). even their website shows the same thing as I am saying.
But the denied that.
then I decided to quit vodafone also not going to pay the extra bill amount.
with some formal mail I request them to close my connection also I paid the amount that I have used(except the extra bill amount of Rs. 400).
after 2 months I got an legal notice(Lok adalat) from Vodafone, asking me to clear the pending billing amount of Rs.3480.34 of that postpaid number.
after seeing the letter I just lost my mental stability as that was the first time I had received any legal notice from court. I thought now I''m going to spend my rest life in jail. I just can''t share those moments with you in words.
after two days 4 executives(from vodafone) came to my home for the money and I told them everything and denied to pay the amount. In reply they told me that they will kill me if I don''t pay the amount.
now I got one more point of their fault, I lodge a FIR against the 4 collection executives.
after 4 days I got a call from the Administrative Head (Vodafone wb circle) asking me to take the FIR back. also they agreed that the bill amount was WRONG and they will take their case back from lok adalat.
so friends every time you purchase a new postpaid connection, just take a look on all the possible terms and conditions regarding the plan.
Thank you.
