if you want to download subtitle there is option in view menu: there is download subtitle option click and select language, title, search by name or search by hash.

you can now download subtitle. and can watch movie with subtitle.

VLC media player supports more feature like: you can create custom playlist, and you can save playlist to the file, listen to podcast, and can also you can listen to the radio station.

but you need active internet connection for  this.

Drag and drop feature: you can simply drag any media type file to VLC media player .
