My 2013 wedding anniversary will be memorable to me. I will always maintain that the best things in life are for free.
Here's how it all happened: I wrote a short paragraph on my most romantic memory for Parachute Advansed somewhere in early 2013. Imagine my surprise when I won a meal at the Vivanta By Taj Blue Diamond - Pune!
I was, at first, dubious about the gift vouchers and emailed Taj, Vivanta. They were very responsive with emails and even made phone calls to ensure a perfect experience. I especially thank Devendra S. Ratnawat, Executive Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage and Shilpa Gokhale, Director of Sales, for taking so much interest and trouble and each of the people who attended on us that day.
We went on the Saturday closest to our actual anniversary date - it was rainy and we enjoyed the drive on our two wheeler.
A young security man led us to Latitude. A young lady led us to a cosy table but but we chose to sit near the pool outside as the weather was so pleasant.
We were waited upon with affectionate discretion and served sparkling champagne and beer.
For starters we chose chicken tikka and vegetarian kebabs -both were first class.
Then we had appams and stew which were divine.
Our send off was also memorable with a huge bouquet and a marvellous cake.
This was my experience and I could see that the other customers were also having a splendid time!
If I get a chance, I'd love to visit this hotel again and try out all it has to offer.
