Good but not great and also bad sometimes. Review on VIT Bhopal University, Bhopal

This university has experienced faculties however, there is not much serious studying here. First, understand the daily routine, classes start at 8.30 am which are mainly held till 4.20 pm. They allow students to select their classes at a particular time they want and of a particular faculty they want. For example, a student selects his class from 8.30 am to 10.00 am of a particular faculty, then again he selects his class from 10.00 am to 11.30 am of a particular teacher and selects his class from 11.30 am to 1.00 pm. After that some students select class from 2.15 to 4.45 pm and some students select the class from 4.20 pm to 5.30 pm, it depends on you on what time you have to select the class. Credit is a term used here which decides how many classes should of yours should be held in a day. Exams are held three times, one time in a month, having 2 mid semesters and 1 final exam at the end of the semester. Each faculty is experienced has a Ph.D. in their subject. However, many times they are unable to complete the syllabus and they give us the pending syllabus which the students have to study by themselves. They upload the modules they have taught in the class on an app of theirs. The teacher himself sometimes doesn't come to class, and I am saying the precision, the people here only teach us for marks, exams, and for the money they want. They don't see your interest, passion, and talent in the subject. It is like if you have money or good marks in the exam they will give you placements or promote and it doesn't matter how much good and passionate you are in the subject, marks in the exams will be the only thing that will matter and the money you have. Exams and money scores over your interest, talent, and passion just like Ranchod das says in 3 idiots movie. The rest of the subjects' studies is good and are well taught and discussed by the faculties especially the math faculties if the faculties are in a mood to teach.

If we talk about what are the good things in this college, the only good thing is its administration. They have provided hostel facilities to those who have come from a long distance and want to stay near the university. The hostel has 24 hrs running water, good mess facilities with morning snacks served from 7.00 am to 9.00 am, lunch is served from 12 pm to 2.00 pm, evening snacks are served from 5 pm to 7 pm and dinner is served from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm. The hostel has 2 bedded, 3 bedded, 4 bedded and 6 bedded rooms, with every room having table fans connected. Each room has 24 hrs wifi supply availability and the same wifis are also available on campus. Electricity sometimes cuts but most of the time it is there. Water coolers are installed on every floor of the 7-floor hostel buildings. If we talk about the campus which is also called an academic block, it is of 5 floors( currently) and is been undergoing further construction. Each class has 2 m long benches and tables with a laptop screen connected on the whiteboard through which the teacher can teach through his laptop. Here also water coolers are installed on every floor. Each floor also has a separate staff room of the teachers by which you can personally meet the teacher and ask doubts. The campus has 3 math studios, 1 electronics studio, 1 electrical studio, 1 physics studio, 1 chemistry studio, 2 computer studios, and 1 English studio, etc in which different classes are held. Outside the campus, a big canteen is installed known as underbelly and they provide most of the snacks and foods there such as biryani, pizza, burger, sandwiches, south Indian foods, etc.

The college does conduct extracurricular activities and clubs sometimes but most of the activities they don't even conduct. Here, they say that every student must choose an activity, but saying something is easy and conducting it is beyond their limits. For example, I have chosen the trekking club as my extracurricular activity but it never got conducted even once, they only do workshops of it and tell us what is trekking instead of making us do trekking. Same with an android club, acting club, film making club, etc they never got conducted, I think these people are lazy in doing these kinds of things. It also organizes various competitions which are mostly conducted and participated by the students. Every year cs go, NFS, FIFA tournaments are conducted here as well.

This university was established in the year 2017, so there are no graduating former students here, the earliest batch which came here was of the first year 2017 and now they will come to the fourth year in 2020 when the lockdown ends.
