VISA DEBIT CARDS ARE EQUALLY UNSAFE AS CREDITCARDs.
Though most debit cards come with PIN, VISA debit cards does not require the person to key in the pin and all that is required is just a card swapping!
ASK YOURSELF THE SIMPLE QUESTION, WILL YOU CARRY ALL THE MONEY IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT ALL THE TIME? CARRYING A CREDIT/DEBIT CARD IS JUST THE SAME!
MORAL:
1) Never add on credit cards or debit cards that you do not require.
2) Do not always carry all your credit/debit cards together.
3) Always keep your credit/debit cards in a safe place and verify if they whenever required.
4) Never opt for a credit card without PIN? But are there any?
5) Choose debit cards with PIN...there are !
Suppose you boarded a bus/train/flight and realised when you got down that your card is stolen? will all the money in your account be safe till that time??
FREE Rs.25,000 !
People just jump to take any offer that is free without thinking about
the pros and cons!
Usually it is the credit card companies that keep bugging you on your
cellphone number, which you thought was confidential!
Their usual argument is ... the card is FREE sir so why not take it?
My friend jumped in for the FREE credit card offer though he never
required one! He never used it either! It was more for a show to
add on the list of all cards he has have of various banks!
Yesterday, his purse was stolen with the credit card! By the time he informed the credit card company about the loss of his card, Rs.25,000/- worth of purchase had already been made! (RS. 10, 000 worth mobile, Rs. 15,000 for TV) The time between informing the credit card company was just AN HOUR! (since he came to know only after an hour).
Here is the best part... the credit card lost was a card with my friend's photo! but why would the shop keeper worry if a sale is anyway going to take place for him !
So it was FREE Rs.25,000/- for thief!
This is a true story!
In the above case the loss was limited to Rs. 25,000/- as the credit limit was reached!
What would you have lost with your credit limit?!!
