Very bad Governance. No to Vikram for Char Dham. Review on Vikram Travels, Mangalore

Pros:

1. Decent Food & Accommodation

3. Excellent Driver(Sanjay)

Cons:

1. Office management has zero knowledge on tours to Char Dham. I had 4 senior citizens with me above 70 years. They promised Helicopters in Kedarnath and took money also kept on pushing the dates for booking it even when other travelers booked it I had already paid and so waited. Which never happened and to follow up to get back the money after returning.

2. Now coming to the Kedarnath trip itself, They mentioned only limited Dolly all stuff and got us 1 way dolly stating that was the procedure infact took Rs 1000 extra apart from the actual government booking. NO THAT is NOT RIGHT. Dolly booked are 2 ways by other travelers. This is the place where we are left out and we no none because the tour manager/ does not join us. I had a tough time getting all of them back because we will have no contact until we return back to base camp. We were left out in rain at 6pm IST after completed the darshan and it was raining and snowing. Had no provision to Dolly and that road is not encouraged for walking down. I know how hard time I had requesting for Pittu because my people were all old and cannot sit on Pony. Zero guidance or Help from Travels in fact they should have contacts the procedure is they should book dolly a day or 2 before which they need to make sure. But they do not and take people’s life at risk.

3. Bad Planning, It is only 1 day in Kedarnath and you start previous day night to Gowri Kund at 2 am and must return back by next day 2 am because you need to start to Badrinath by 5 am. Whereas all other travels give a day’s break here to support tourist If they cannot come back down they can stay back get a Dolly next morning and return to base camp. Or many times you will not get darshan after this difficult trek because of timings. All these years they are operating but has never taken this into consideration because lack of feedback given to them or Ignorance/arrogance to consider them. While they charge the same like any competitors. And I hear Nirmala Travels also has the same trend.

4. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GET A DAY’s BREAK WHERE MUCH NEEDED, Because of oxygen level and the age factor. My parents could still manage because they were supportive and good health but for others it was horrible.

5. It's Haridwar to Hardwar and not from Delhi/Dehradun. Because they charge extra again in last moment for transit to Haridwar

6. No Bags(As told part of package) only caps will be provided. So please have a small bag back for each to carry handy things(Water bottle, food items, anything needed for short travel and also for Kedarnath & Yamunotri trek).

7. NO Knowledge on reimbursement even after asking for multiple times. They need to give certificates after completing Yatra not given nor any directions or support. Please there are many small travels yet with good adequate knowledge and experience. DO NOT GO FOR VIKRAM TRAVELS, MANGALORE.

Tour Staff is good but without proper planning and knowledge you are not helping people it's going to be worst.
